Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Rihanna and other pop superstars will touch down on the National Mall on Nov. 11 to perform in honor of American veterans and their families.
Dubbed the Concert for Valor, the Veterans Day celebration is being hosted by Starbucks and HBO, which will open up their signal to cable subscribers nationwide during a live telecast. For those hoping to see it in three dimensions, the concert will be free and open to the public.
The concert will also include performances from Dave Grohl, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band, as well as appearances from Jamie Foxx, John Oliver, Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, who is co-producing the event.
Scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on the Mall grounds between the Capitol and the Washington Monument, the event is expected to draw a quarter million attendees. Organizers will host dedicated seating for military families, with tickets being distributed through various veterans assistance organizations.

Hmmm...so many socialists so little time...sorry, count this vet out.
The new 8th Air Force series is about to come out.
So no good music, eh?
What, no Jane Fonda on NVA artillery?
Sounds like a lib fest.
No thanks.
Great. Another DNC political rally.
Springsteen? read his lyrics sometime and see what an inappropriate choice this is.
Nothing is free!
Zac Brown Band is good.
The rest?
Bleh ...
Springsteen, Eminem, Rihanna ? Isn’t torturing vets illegal?
Where’s Eddie Vedder, Rage Against the Machine, The Ditsy Chicks? All of those other junk bands who make they’re money off the freedom that those vets provided.
Had to be free as no self respecting person would pay money to see any of them.
to be sure...
Springsteen, the Canadian draft dodger can go to hell. Worthless!
Maybe HBO could buy some new pajamas for those Vets in the VA Hospital in Louisiana? The Obama Administration is too busy trying to buy votes for the Democrats.
...Good Luck with that!
Book Ted Nugent and we’ll talk.
"There are hundreds of millions of gun
owners in this country, and not one of
them will have an accident today. The only
misuse of guns comes in environments
where there are drugs, alcohol, bad
parents, and undisciplined children.
Period."~Ted Nugent
Rage against the machine, holy God do I hate that band. Constantly pushing communism yet take every advantage of capitalism.
