I checked out the apartment he was staying at - The Ivy Apartments - which looks like a major dump. The largest one is a 2 bedroom with 1100 sq ft for the victim, his girlfriend, and 5 kids to stay in. Don’t tell me they’re not gonna be symptomatic any day now!
According to Google maps, there are several other apartment complexes in the same area.
Quite probably the children have been in contact or close proximity with children in the other apt complexes.

His *wife*. He’s married. And, apparently, a lot of family came by to see him when he came here. (He’s visited the US many times)
And four of those kids went to four different schools.
I have some really stupid questions and maybe a FReeper can answer them. How can the apartment be decontaminated? Wouldn’t the normal disinfection process, a 10%solution of chlorine is used (I think for Ebola in Africa), damage the walls and floors? Wouldn’t there also be the possibility of the decontamination solutions used spreading to the other apartments in the same building? If it is so difficult to become infected, why were the custodial staff members of one DISD (Dallas Independent School District) cleaning one of the affected schools wearing haz mat suits, complete with gloves, boots and goggles?
Just some jumbled questions I had running through my head today.
Holy crap. Good point.
