Well, you’ll regret your own tactics. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face...giving the Dems a majority does NOTHING to help conservative GOPers either.
Work for your favored conservative in the primaries but then vote to get the numbers. The Cochran thing was horrible, but I don’t think it’s typical - MS politics have always been super corrupt and family-controlled - so while the GOP might incline to RINOs, if you can get enough people behind a candidate and get the money to support that candidate, you’ll get your candidate.
But that means everybody has got to work harder for their candidate, along with contributing more, and also that the candidates have got to stop thinking they can rely on the “base” to get them over the top. They have to have a broader appeal, and unfortunately, few of them do and they seem to spend a lot of time preening over their conservative credentials and not reaching out for voters - again, it’s all about numbers.
No, it's all about the principles. It always has been. It can be no other way.
Are you kidding me? Sounds like you are in the capitulation camp too. So just when do we grow a back bone, or I guess as you suggest, do we keep taking it in the rear?
Just because more Senators might have an (R) by their name does not mean the Progressives are not still in charge.
