Just heard on the radio (WBAP) that a family member of the man with Ebola is now sick with the stuff.
cue: Famous Last Words
Can someone put up a map of his address please. I am mobile right now. Ivy Apartments..7000 block in Fairoaks in Dallas. I think it is near the fair grounds. Is the state fair still going on? *shudders*
Thanks very much. Gonna check it out.
The USA Today vid, that blam linked to, said (County Health admin) said there were also children in this family. Out of caution, they’re keeping them home from school. How nice...wonder how many days they got to go to school, before Uncle Feztus was quarantined.
Conflicting reports now. Five Points in northeast Dallas. ??? Reporters just run off by Dallas police. Ivy Apartments still name though.
Thanks Pen. Also reading report of second case, for the moment, is null. Prayers that holds true. Meanwhile the dow is down about 200 points. Not that the dow matters but seemed appropriate.
check out the DOW freefall and airline stocks. This is calculated and planned. Count on it.

Thanks.
Too many questions deliberately unanswered. Obama adm will handle US ebola outbreak just like they do every other crisis---politically.
And who knew this!
Ebola case stokes concerns for Liberians in Texas

Stanley Gaye, president of the Liberian Community Association of Dallas-Fort Worth, said the 10,000-strong Liberian population in North Texas is skeptical of the CDC's assurances because Ebola has ravaged their country.
"We've been telling people to try to stay away from social gatherings," Gaye said at a community meeting Tuesday evening. Large get-togethers are a prominent part of Liberian culture...................
I speak a little Texan, so I got that. MR 2!
Glad we parked our investments on sidelines a few weeks ago! We were just thinking October surprises and frequent downturns in 4th quarters. The rare bears...lol.
Fairgrounds is approximately 9 miles from the apartment complex; Patient Zero’s apartment is in North Dallas, a short drive up North Central Expressway from the Fairgrounds.
Incidentally, the Texas State Fair runs through October 19th. Texas and OU play the annual Red River Rivalry game on the 11th; if I were the athletic directors at Oklahoma and UT, I’d move the game to Austin or Norman pronto.
Thanks. Just figured that out. Map link above. Agree about the game. Even Perry trying to play down fears in presser. Understandable but not helpful to stop actual spread of virus IMHO.
bump
Up to 12 people could be infected with Ebola including five children, it was revealed today, as health officials scramble to contain the deadly virus following the first diagnosis on U.S. soil.
The family of the male sufferer, who recently arrived in Texas from Liberia, could be at risk. EMTs who transported the patient were also deemed at risk but had received the all-clear today.
The man, who arrived in Dallas on September 20, is said to be critically ill and has been kept in isolation since Sunday. The patient, has not been identified but is believed to be married and have children. He is 'awake, talking and asking for food', doctors said today. However there are fears of the disease spreading because the man was in the U.S. for almost a week before being isolated.
A Liberian national has family here? Oh, why not.”
Evidently, there is a whole lot more of them, 10,000 Liberians in North Texas.
The patient was staying with family in east Dallas, very near Presbyterian hospital. The second trip to the hospital was by ambulance. That vehicle has been taken out of service, and the 3 paramedics are in isolation.
ER personnel are also being closely monitored, and children in the household as well as family members are being quarantined at home.
I have a reasonable hope that this will be a contained outbreak. However,
WHY ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH ARE THE BORDERS OF LIBERIA AND SIERRA LEONE NOT SEALED WITH ONLY HUMANITARIAN AID ALLOWED IN???
Population modulation by the powers that be?
