It’s as if a bunch of leftist press, pundits and politicians got together sometime in 2013 and said: “Hey, let’s see just how much political muscle we have; let’s start a full-on campaign to change the Redskins’ team name.”
In a few months: Hey, conservative, tea party, and republican are offensive. Ban its mention on the airwaves.
It’s only going to piss off those who are concerned about tyranny without a corresponding increase in voting participation from those who might want the team to change the name.
If they are going to change their name, I say call them the Washington Thinskins. It’s a great poke in they eye without an explicit disparagement of any identifiable group.
And the liberals would know exactly what it means every time the team is mentioned.
Let’s have some fun with the Left. Since the Redskins are owned by a Jewish businessman, Daniel Snyder, let’s name the team the “Washington Foreskins”.
The team slogan will be “The Washington Foreskins. The team that rises to the occasion.”
I want to see the Redskinnets do that chant.
Or they said, “Let’s make a lot of noise over here to get everyone’s attention while the left is deliberately dismantling the nation.”
