The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday confirmed the first case of Ebola has been diagnosed in the United States.
This story is developing. Please check back for further updates
Ok, bingo!
Dodge by Frieden on resident status of patient....
Got to be illegal!
Me thinks.....
My thoughts exactly. October Surprise. Never let a good crisis go to waste!
How many think that spreading this and the “south of the border” viruses are intentional so as to promote “ObamaCare”?
Q: What steps to reassure Americans there is a limited risk?
A: Check our CDC website. Flight landed on Sep 20th so only a small number of contacts.
(this guy is a real spokes-hole)
Aren’rt the Bushes and Glenn Beck living in the Dallas area?
OH good grief. The NBC troll just called everyone in the US who is concerned about the transmissibility of Ebola basically a bunch of knuckle-dragging hysterical freaks.
Dear God, I despise the lamestream media.
Refused to say whether or not this person is a citizen of U.S.A. per CDC doctor. AP asked. Question evaded.
Now, now—our government flunkies never lie to us, do they?
HPPA.
You ain’t gonna learn a thing about this guy.
The others waived their rights.
Put the word out.....at least let people know they may have been contaminated.
All under the orders of Obama..this is what he wanted and now we have Ebola in America..meanwhile Obama sends thousands of our soldiers to Africa to get infected
Could you catch it by touching the same door knob?
Remember, the spreading of AIDS started with 1 profligate, degenerate airline steward. Just 1.
Add in Rock Hudson, who knew he had AIDS and slept with as many young men as he could.
Classic!
This should have been done many weeks ago..
This government is out of control on every level.
dark horse?
This business of it “not being airborne” is a crock of BS. If someone sneezes and a small ball of saliva ends up landing on your skin, mouth, eye, etc.. Your likelihood of contracting Ebola just went up dramatically.
The HIPAA Paradox: The Privacy Rule Thats Not
HIPAA has undermined both medical care and medical ethics.
Richard Sobel
HIPAA is often described as a privacy rule. It is not. In fact, HIPAA is a disclosure regulation. Effective in April 2003, the federal government gave six hundred thousand covered entities regulatory permission to use or disclose protected health information for treatment, payment, and health care operations without patient consent, and with no audit trails for most disclosures. The effect is to dismantle the longstanding moral and legal tradition of patient confidentiality. By permitting broad and easy dissemination of patients medical information, HIPAA has undermined both medical ethics and the effectiveness of medical care.
