I simply can’t imagine with our technology that someone can just climb the fence, run across the lawn, and wander around the White House.
I’ve seen the ID technology we had when I retired a dozen years ago, and with it you could pick out a bunny rabbit at a couple thousand meters in the dark. And that technology wasn’t really intended for intruder alert.
No way they don’t have a dozen years of progress and specifically designed intruder alert equipment in the fence, the yard, the building, the sky, the trees, etc.
I don’t buy it.
Did she just indicate that Gonzales was being investigated for a crime, released from prison, or something to that effect?
Chaffetz asks question about officers who recognized him, but didn’t report it.

it seems like it is all theater - including the recent jumper incidents.
These people are good at organizing criminal acts, concealing evidence, destroying evidence, etc.
What throws them off is something that they didn’t orchestrate like the lady in the car who was shot near the white house.

SS Director stated Sequestration caused 550 people cut from SS. Rep. brings out her 2013 Budget request that stated wanting to cutting 340 people.
She sits there....doesn’t have an answer.

Now he is asking her about 1 million dollar Executive Suite!
That was good questioning by Mark Meadows. At the end he recommends to the committee to explore it further.
She blames the recent problems on having 500 fewer agents, then he shows that that her own budget recommendation wanted fewer officers with less experience and blames it on budget cuts, then spends $1 million on a conference room!

There should have been peopled fired the day they found bullet holes in the Whitehouse that happened 4 days earlier. To begin with those that issued the stand down order after reports of shots fired. Second, those that did a search of the residence.
Especially since One of Nero’s kids was there.
I think all the questions about Gonzalez & was done or not done (and the SS does have legal constraints) cloud the bottom line issue. There are a lot of people in this country who would like to see something bad happen to Obama and have had thoughts of such ... but they don’t act on them. Many are mentally ill, others could be terrorists, etc. REGARDLESS of any of this, when it comes to the first family when at home, it all comes down to the moment those people, whoever they are, get to the perimeter of the WH and can the SS stop them there and protect the WH occupants. The answer is “NO” based on this latest event. Forget all the other crap - prescreening, whatever .... sure, they need to do it, but you’re going to motivation, mental state, etc. .... all ‘soft’ issues, if you will. The protection of the WH is a ‘hard’ issue ... and they failed that mission. Pierson needs to go and those agents that didn’t follow the protocols in place should be fired or face major discipline. Period.

This is the administration of incrementalism. There is an effort to move the country left or to totalitarianism.
So that’s why I asked about the agenda. Everything they do has an agenda. The mental illness issue has come up various issues, gun control the Navy yard shooting, etc.
