Prayers are requested for Diver Dave

A couple of years ago, our prayers were answered when Diver Dave was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Dave is still cancer-free. Thank you for those prayers.

Diver Dave is in need of our prayers again. He was diagnosed recently with ALS. Dave and his family will have a couple of difficult years ahead of them. We pray that God will hold them close while He comforts them and eases their pain and their fears.

Dave faces the future unafraid; as his 'tag line' states .... "Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow."

In addition to prayers for Diver Dave and his family, we ask for prayers for all others suffering from ALS. With the money raised by the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS research, we pray that a cure will be found soon.

Father, we come before you once again with special requests. Please hold and comfort Diver Dave and his family in you loving embrace. Please ease his pain and any fears; free him of this horrible disease, if that be Thy Will. We also ask that you keep all ALS victims in your loving arms as they face the future. We pray that a cure be found soon. Lastly, please Bless Dave, Linda and their family. Dave's strong faith, gives us hope. We ask this in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Prayers up. We just had a fund raiser for a basketball buddy of mine, a recently retired police chief who is stricken with ALS. Last year he was out on the court with us, now he’s deteriorated to the point where he cannot stand. It happened so quickly.

I believe he is cured. It hasn’t been five years so I’m not sure which term to use BUT ... The Lord heard our prayers. Praying that the cancer was cured and praying for a cure for ALS!!
