A Southern California city council candidate was fired from her day job and is receiving death threats after she posted a video in which she told a woman that it was very disrespectful to have a Mexican flag on her front lawn.
Hi. Is that a Mexican flag in your front yard? Capps asks the homeowner, who is inside her home. You know we live in America right? This is the United States. So, why are you flying a Mexican flag in your front yard?
Capps posted the video online and it quickly went viral.
When her former employer Coldwell Banker got wind of the video, the banking giant promptly let Capps go from her position with the company.
Capps, in her video, also suggests that the family could face fines and legal problems for flying the Mexican flag, but the Ontario, California City Attorney John Brown disputed that claim.
"The City of Ontario takes great pride in being one of the most ethnically and racially diverse cities in Southern California, Brown said. Those expressions of ethnic and racial diversity take many forms throughout our City, and the City has always taken the position that such speech is absolutely protected by the both the United States and California Constitutions."
In an interview with Fox News, Capps said she cant believe one video she posted is causing such outrage.
My family is being threatened, Im being threatened. We may have to move. I dont know Im really scared, she said.
If you want to fly another countrys flag you do it in the proper way. The American flag flies on top; it has a place of prominence and then the other countrys flag is underneath, she said. Its just flag etiquette.

Company deserves to be shunned and boycotted
Coldwell Banker is a major real estate company. They need to be boycotted. If you are in the market for property, go to Century 21 or some other company.
This is what she gets for saying somethng so politically incorrect.
I wonder what her employer would have said had she asked why someone was flying the Stars and Bars or the Nazi Flag? Probably promoted her.
Just another firm on my list of “do not do business with.”
The narco terrorist state of California is shaping up nicely.
Folks, this will come to war.
Sooner is better than later.
You will soon be persecuted for disrespecting all leftist favored groups like gays, pedophiles, Muslims etc etc
She apologized for doing the right thing? Mistake.
She should’ve doubled down on her actions...showed courage in the face of the attacks.
Libs don’t accept apologies from the Right. They treat apologies as appetizers before completely chewing the offender to pieces.
But claiming the American flag may offend someone is just OK and dandy. And yet, no one gets fired for this. Your country is gone.
Flying a Mexican Flag Only in one`s front yard is an Act of Allegiance to Mexico.
IT`s a fact per se in the action, because you are telling the whole world that the Mexican flag represents you, not the American flag.
It has nothing to do with free speech but is a sign of allegiance to another country, just as ISIS flags are banned now in countries in Europe. Well duhhh, a flag represents your country, and that homeowner`s allegiance is to Mexico, not the USA. Get out !!!!!
Webster defines “flag” as “ A light cloth bearing a device to indicate NATIONALITY” [my caps]
Thus this lawn guy is telling the world that his NATIONALITY is Mexican, not American-
Thus he should leave America and go back to Mexico, his NATION!
Incorrect.
No two nations' flags should be flown on the same pole in any order. They should be flown on separate poles at equal height, and the host nation's* flag should be on the right from the persective of a person facing the street.
*Host nation = the nation in which the flags are being flown, snarkiness about Mexifornia or Aztlan aside.
So, when a irish person flies a Irish flag on St Paddy’s day, he is pledging for Ireland?
Or When I fly my Imperial German Flag, I am loyal to the Kaiser?

The Mexican is here as a conqueror not as a humble field worker. Get used to it!
what a wonderful brave new world we live in/
Ok, a couple things here;
Why would anyone be proud of their Mexican heritage? A country so corrupt that despite all of the mineral wealth that the country has, it still has a third world economy to the point that its people spend their family's little money to flee their home country to go to a country with a foreign language and culture.
Why is the right to fly a foreign flag protected but this councilwoman's right to speak against it not protected.
I live near the border. Mexican flags flying separately are common, as are American flags. I did see an American flag and a Mexican flag side by side on separate flag poles, the one with the American flag being the highest.
Ah, the obligatory “it only happens in CA” post.
Psst....that beheading by the fired muzzie employee?
That happened in Oklahoma, California. And Ferguson?
Yes, that is really Ferguson, CA.
Telling the truth in times of universal deceit—e.g. ‘ROP’, `act of love’, `institutionalized racism`—is a revolutionary act.
Many of the framers were financially ruined by the war.
Good for her: she’s a `majority of one’!
When CA goes goes tits-up—no bailout from the responsible states for the illegal state.
