NEW YORK (AP) -- Health officials are investigating nine cases of muscle weakness or paralysis in Colorado children and whether the culprit might be a virus causing severe respiratory illness across the country.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday sent doctors an alert about the polio-like cases and said the germ - enterovirus 68 - was detected in four out of eight of the sick children who had a certain medical test. The status of the ninth case is unclear.
The virus can cause paralysis but other germs can, too. Health officials don't know whether the virus caused any of the children's arm and leg weaknesses or whether it's just a germ they coincidentally picked up

This makes me wonder whether there’s some coordination between the campaign on the one hand to force unscreened, unquarantined, diseased illegal alien children into our country, and the campaign on the other hand to discourage the use of vaccines, and finally, the failure of the CDC (funded by our tax dollars) to report on any of this.

With those strains, the rate of flaccid paralysis after infection is as high as 5%-10%.
ALL of the others, without exception, CAN cause a polio-like syndrome, but it's quite uncommon. Viral evolution may be tropic towards paralysis, as has happened over and over again with the Sabin strains (which is why the oral vaccine has gone away).
D68 was discovered in 1962, and a small cluster of respiratory infections was described, in the US, in 2011.
Obviously, something has happened to change the rules. It would not be surprising, or even particularly unusual, for D68 to have become more neurotropic. That is is causing gray-matter injury on MRI in the spinal cord is bad news, indeed.
CDC is all-in on Ebola, and the boys and girls have been a bit slow in getting up to speed on D68. If you are waiting for them to do a workup on a connection with the illegal "children" now dispersed around the US, don't hold your breath. In fact, you should probably pack a lunch.

AFAIK, there is no vaccine for EV D-68 for the middle class whites to refuse.
There was an outbreak of a similar disease in a village in Columbia who ... many of the children have been experiencing periods of paralysis several times a day for the past month or two (ever since contracting this disease). With our non-existent border security, don’t you even think it is a remote possibility that this outbreak w/ similar symptoms is linked and was brought here from border crossers?
