Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin urged Kansas Republicans on Thursday to unite behind U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, alleging his independent opponent is trying to snooker voters in what has become a surprisingly close race.
Palin, the 2008 vice presidential nominee, donned an apron and flipped pancakes alongside Roberts, once considered a near lock for re-election but now facing a tough battle....

Wait a minute, just an apron? And pancakes? You got my vote.
The latest poll I saw showed Orman slipping. Hope this trend continues...and that Sarah’s support will push Roberts ahead.
Hopefully, folks are waking up to the faux *Independent*/Dim plant candidate. Roberts is by no means the perfect candidate, but he’s better to have in the Senate than the alternative.
Sarah and Ted Cruz support Sen Roberts.
Sarah sounds like a Kansan. Both her twang and her plain-spoken commonsense. WIsh we had the cushion to drop Roberts like a hammer.
Roberts like some of the others is not perfect, but a good man. We are close to getting back the senate folks.
“Sarah and Ted Cruz support Sen Roberts.”
Wait a sec. Both Palin AND Cruz support Roberts? Wow! Didn’t expect BOTH of them to go RINO on us.
Guess that now leaves Mike Lee and Gowdy as our only 2016 hopefuls, knowing that both Palin and Cruz will probably support Romney.
I voted for Wolf in the primary. I thought it was time for some new blood. I’m voting for Roberts in the general. Taylor’s decision to drop out tells me all I need to know about Orman.
Sour grapes from Wolf won't win him future votes, should he wish to run for any office in the future, especially if the office is lost to Orman.
KS voters do have memories long enough to remember who refused to endorse the Primary winner.
Palin and Cruz will support whoever wins the nomination.
Would that some others might come up with the same conclusion but I'm not so sure.
many of us are completely sick of incumbent rinos, with all their election advantages, trashing good Conservatives in primaries, and then tap dancing around liberals in the general. mccain and romney come to mind. they use us and abuse us. rinos are closer to liberal democrats than they are to Conservatives. did you know that roberts only comes to Kansas when he has a primary opponent? roberts sent money to cochran in Mississippi, also. his office staff is rude. i don’t know if i can hold my breath long enough to vote for roberts, again. so, voting for roberts makes me smart? gag me. your story is what I hear every 2-4 years
\
why would a rino like roberts accept help from a stout Conservative like Palin......oh, i remember, after the rinos shun and blast Conservatives in the primaries, they suck up to Conservatives in the general, by comparing themselves to the liberal. like you say, he’s better than the liberal, but only slightly.
Well, I still wouldnt vote for a RINO, in keeping with my oft-stated position on this site. Thad Cochran and Mitch McConnell can both go to Hell, and I would not vote for either of them if I lived in Mississipi or Kentucky.
HOWEVER, I would vote for Roberts if I lived in Kansas now, because the GOPe being forced to reach out to Palin is a victory for the Tea Party all by itself.
And if Roberts win after all the recent gloom and doom pronouncements about his prospects, it will be clear that Palins support (and thus the Tea Partys support) was critical to his success.
That alone, I believe, will be enough to make sure that the new Republican senate is a lot more conservative than it has been.
I expect that the result will be at least a somewhat chastened GOPe that will think twice about abandoning or even bashing conservatives in 2016.
Agree with ALL you posted, Maceman.
THIS warrants repeating.....

KS voters do have memories long enough to remember who refused to endorse the Primary winner.
We also remember who doesn’t live in our state. At this point Sarah has just as much standing to run for the seat as Pat Roberts does. They both visit KS about the same amount of time and neither of them live here.
As far as Wolf not endorsing Roberts, I can’t really blame him. I mean how many GOPe candidates that lost have endorsed the winner? Look at what happened in Sarah’s home state with write in election.
“We are close to getting back the senate folks.”
What does anyone believe that will do for us though,,,?
Ping.
Ping to Sarah's Sunflower List!
Remember when I said Kansas could do worse?
Oh, please, define RINO.
Roberts is either the fourth or the sixth most conservative senator by his voting record depending on which conservative outfit is doing the counting.
Give me a break.
You want Orman, the Dem who already supports the Obama/Reid agenda over the fourth or sixth most conservative senator?
That’s out of 100 senators.
Sure, have issues with his residency or his age but don’t lie about somebody being a RINO when his votes are there for all to see.
He also was one of the few Senators who went to the floor in support of Cruz’s filibuster to defund Obamacare last year.
Please rethink your definition of RINO and vote for Roberts if you live in Kansas.

1. And what if Wolf comes out and endorsed the liberal Dem Orman, as is currently being rumored?
2. In this year’s Alaska election, the primary challengers did indeed endorse the GOP primary winner.
