Is that what we are supposed to do now, assume the position whenever we are dealing with the police?
Respect the badge a little, it tends to respect you back.
25 years ago I was pulled over for a burn out tail light. I was legally carrying concealed. Pistol on my left hip, license in my right back pocket.
I removed my registration and proof of insurance from the glove box and placed both hands on the wheel in the 10 and 2 position.
When the officer approached I said "Officer I am carrying a legally registered concealed firearm, what would you like me to do next?" He asked where it was and where the license was. Het hen told me to use my right hand to open the door from the outside and he took a step back. I got out of the car, assumed the position and he removed the weapon.
I showed him my license and we spent the next 5 minutes talking about 9mm vs. 45 ACP.And we both went hom to our respective wives.
Some would say that it beats being shot.
I also recall the days when the "libs" were chanting things like "Better Red than dead".
It looks like the extended campaign to line us up for the slaughter with little resistance is paying off - many who think they're conservative and who believe in the Constitution seem to think that certain cases or personal desires make it OK to throw Freedom under the bus.
Absolutely, laws are for the little people, not the jackboot thugs.
