COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — An unarmed man shot by a South Carolina trooper during a traffic stop repeated one question through his anguished cries as he lay wounded, waiting for an ambulance: "Why did you shoot me?"
Levar Jones' painful groans and then-Trooper Sean Groubert's reply — "Well you dove head first back into your car" — were captured by a dashboard camera in the trooper's car.
Groubert had stopped Jones on a seatbelt violation at a Columbia gas station and fired the shots moments after asking Jones for his license

That cop’s career should be over, and criminal charged filed against him. Whoever was responsible for training him and allowing him on the job has some serious questions to answer.

What kind of training - mental and situational - do these officers get? This guy was ill-prepared, ill-suited and ill-tempered for the job. He didn’t even know he hit the driver, ordering him to the ground and then asking him if he was hit as he was handcuffing him!

So a cops is supposed to be a mind reader and know what the dude was going to do? So for the haters here, does the cop need to be shot, stabbed or assaulted FIRST before he earns the right to protect himself???

First off what is he doing out of his car in the first place? He is stopping the guy for a freakin’ seat belt violation, so what is he doing out of the car and why is the cop asking him for his license while he is out of the car? What the hell, who trained this idiot? Just wonderful, now the race baiters will be playing this non-stop for the next 100 years.
Not an excuse, but why do some drivers NOT keep their license ON THEIR PERSON? This cop wasn’t expecting that.
It was a seat belt violation ... the cop should get a metal .

This policy of clearing the field in front of you by shooting anything that moves, is not police work, now that the police have unionized and control city governments and have become all about themselves, we need someone to come in and break up their power and insulated incestuous internalizing as an increasingly criminal gang of brute force, intimidation and looting, and protect us from them.
The cop has been fired and arrested for felony aggravated assault.
