Just like my Boot Camp Company Commander and my Field Med School DI showed me - here's the way it's done, Mr. President:



The Hand Salute is a courtesy exchanged by men and women who serve in the military. It expresses their loyalty and esprit de corps. We exchange it proudly among ourselves, both Officers and Enlisted - it binds us to one another as we fight for the liberties secured for us by those who have gone before. It binds us to those now risking life and limb in Freedom's Fight.

When you lift your arm in a Hand Salute, Mr. President, do you think about the men and women who have bled and fallen to secure our basic Freedoms?

I think about those sacrifices daily, Mr. President - sad to say - your mind must be elsewhere.
