The iOS 8.0.1 update is no longer available after multiple users earlier reported serious issues with the new version of the operating system, one that was expected to fix a glitch with the highly anticipated HealthKit apps.

T-Mobile and the MVNO’s look great. My only concern about the MVNO is their coverage. I do not want a wireless phone that only works in a few areas. It kind of defeats the entire purpose of it.
E-Mail program will not allow multiple trashing, and whe you try to edit a contact the keyboard never pops. Those are my two - Running a 5s... Grr.
I had a Droid Incredible for 2.5 years no problem. XLNT phone. Switched to apple to make all my platforms the same. Now have I-5. Usually buy every other model and wait a month or so so I don’t get trampled or wait in a long line.
I have always upgraded the system when I receive prompts in my settings file. Upgraded my pad and phone last week.
Never had a problem with either system. Some new features I like in the new system.
Will buy a 6 in a month or so. What’s the hurry?
I have been with apple one way or the other since I bought an apple plus, but let’s stop the hysteria on both sides.
I have been an Android guy for several years. Just switched over to the iPhone 6 Plus. I love it! Very pleased so far.
... yep.. my note 3 is to.. ..between this and Obama in Iraq... your average yuppie leftist took a kick in the nuts the last few days
Now I'm a heavy user and I use to have to charge it once a day with ios 6 and ios 7. I'm good with that.
Although with ios 8 I had to charge my phone 3 to 4 times a day. I had to shut down A LOT of the background data that was auto running in order to keep the same battery life.
Im on Tmo in the US .. unlimited voice text data for 60mo...
I’ve gone through 6 iPhones, trying to get the new Wave Charging to work. What gives???
If you’re worried about coverage, look at a T-Mobile reseller instead of a T-Mobile MVNO: with a reseller, you get exactly the same coverage as you would from T-Mobile postpaid but at less of a cost.
That’s what I have. I signed up with 35orLess, a T-Mobile reseller, and was grandfathered in when they limited their client base to businesses only.
Over on Howardforums, there’s a lot of talk about Harbor Mobile, a new T-Mobile Reseller:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1840227-HARBOR-MOBILE-New-T-Mobile-MVNO
According to that thread, Harbor Mobile is supposed to be for businesses only, but they’ll accept just about anyone if you claim to have a sole proprietorship or something.
Not exactly the most straightforward alternative, but I’d look into it if I wasn’t already on 35orLess.
To the fanbois:
Please remember this as yet another example when you are so often inclined to tell the world that you love all things Apple because their stuff “just works”.
If your Tmo did your order your free wifi router?.. it one sweed deal.. a top on the line wifi router( rebranded Asus RT-AC68U normal list $200 with firmware qos tweaks for wifi calling).. you can get for $25 refundable deposit.. and they are even waving that to today..
Great news and link thanks!
“Ive found iPhones highly reliable. Androids tend to lock up.”
Vast over-generalization. My Nexus 5, and the Nexus 4 I had before that, never lock up.
I like Apple’s products, and it’s hard to beat the aftermarket support for them, but I don’t want to get tied into their walled garden.
It’s funny how every great new phone the reviewers will blather on about how thin it is (.5 mm thinner than the last model!) and how nice (or not) the phone body materials are - and it’s irrelevant for most people who will stick the phone into some sort of clunky case and rarely if ever see the actual phone body.
Apple stuff just works.
LOL. Yeah...
Some of the plans people are describing here are either way over-priced, or they are paying for options that they don’t know
about. I pay $50/month for unlimited calls, texts, and 2gb of internet (actually, it’s virtually unlimited data, but after 2gb I get low priority). Of course, my coverage in rural areas is not great
My 25 month old Note 2 has never even wheezed let alone locked up. What was your device running, Cupcake?
The funny part, I was just complaining to her that her family makes too many BS calls. ; )
I’ve heard that from others.
I have an iPhone 5 and recently (accidently) hit the upgrade tab for the new OS. I thought the heck with it and went through the whole process until it asked for my iTunes user name and password. It would not recognize my password, same with my Apple ID. I went online to change my password and the site wouldnt allow me to do so.
Im ready to switch to Android, my daughter has been happy with hers.
