Nate Silver has made a name for himself getting his presidential forecasts spot-on perfect. So when he speaks about U.S. Senate races, people listen.
His latest thinking on Kansas much-talked-about Senate race?
Independent Greg Orman has a 61 percent chance of beating Republican incumbent Pat Roberts. His expected winning margin is 3 percentage points.
Silver bases his predictions on all manner of polls and political data.
Despite his prediction in the Kansas race, Silver says Republicans have a 58.5 percent chance of winning a majority. And Democrats have a 41.5 percent chance of keeping their majority.
That goes against conventional wisdom, which suggests that if Roberts loses in Kansas, Republicans probabaly wont regain control of the chamber.

Color me impressed by your argument, limited as it is to the hurling of insults and complete lack of a plan to achieve your political goals.
Well, I take your point. But I would argue that without the strategy I am urging (and I agree it would bring a terrible and painful outcome) there is no conservative cause.
That point has been proven over and over in countless elections in recent years.
I say it would bring a terrible and painful outcome, but sometimes amputation or other drastic measures are the only available interventions to save a life.
Our country is dying, almost dead, and only a chastened and wised-up conservative Republican party can save it. Certainly, more GOPe moderate shenanigans and candidates too worried about being PC to fight back against the Progressive attackers will never save the country.
We are in a final, deadly game of chicken with the GOPe, and the only (admittedly slim) chance to avoid death is to force the GOPe to blink first.
The words of pure political genius. Where do come up with this wisdom?
Buh bye idiot. Look in the mirror. Loser Liberal.
Cruz could go GOTV for Roberts and the FR Harry Reid Fan Club would dismiss him as a RINO.
You are such a kidder.
And the GOP Establishment is bringing in their big guns to help Roberts.
I agree with your Post #12.
Time to stop the civil war and elect republicans.

We didn’t start the Civil War. McConnell, Cochran, Barbour and the rest of the GOP Establishment did. Tell that to them. “Republicans”, in this day and age are translated “Democrat Lite”. Screw them.
Yep, there is pretty much ZERO chance we will keep the Senate if we get it. And then no chance for replacing liberal SCOTUS nominees with conservatives.
Nominees like Souter, Ginsburg, Roberts? Etc?
And the possibility of a Harriet Myers nomination by Bush and Rove?
No thanks.
Roberts really burned a lot of conservatives here.

Is that because of the “residency thing”?
Cruz could go GOTV for Roberts and the FR Harry Reid Fan Club would dismiss him as a RINO.

From your screen name, I assume you are a Texan. You know that Cruz would never do that. He is a man of integrity. He doesn’t suck up to people who hate what he stands for.
I guess we’ll see. My money’s on Cruz wanting the most R senators possible to defund and repeal zerocare.
My moneys on Cruz wanting the most R senators possible to defund and repeal zerocare.

I’m sure he does, but at the same time, Ted Cruz is NOT a political whore.
You’re getting a little emotional.
I would argue the opposite, although I think both are ultimately the same side of the coin. Sotomeyor had a long and distinguished judicial track record. Yes, her race played a part, but probably no more than gender in both of these cases. If I had been a Senator I would have voted for Sotomeyer as it is the President’s role to nominate someone as long as their is not corruption or lack of qualification. In Kagan’s case, she was already decided on any number of issues in front of the court coming from her position in the administration. She’s corrupted going in (not corrupt, but biased).
I’m getting “a little emotional”? You ain’t seen nothin; yet.
