If it’s appropriate to mock these people here, under these sad circumstances, then it’s appropriate to mock them at the funeral as well.

You know, people have been doing crazy stuff for ever and using the Bible as cover for mind control for ever. If you want to condone those people who substitute emotion for brains then go ahead. Every Pentecostal service tries to out do the last one. They mercilessly whip themselves into an emotional fervor, each trying to out do the other.
We (Christians) are supposed to just sit back and cite cultural differences instead of saying the emperor has no clothes.
These crazies do the gospel no favors.
