Hundreds of military veterans received marijuana free of charge on Saturday. The unusual event included free medical marijuana and edibles.
Organizers designed the event specifically for veterans, but members of the public were also welcome.
A handful of Denver area businesses teamed up for the event specifically for veterans, but members of the public were also welcome. Hundreds lined up to get into the largest event ever hosted by Operation Grow4Vets.

And illuminated by blacklight, like the posters we used to put on the ceiling...
Once someone receives some commodity for “free,” it sets an unwritten precedent, at least in attitude, that there is an “entitlement” going forward. It pushes that mindset, no matter how small incrementally, that if what is receive “free” was indeed free, why can’t it be received “free” in all cases?
This why FDR welfare is so pernicious. Now, it is seen as a constitutional “right.”
How does my questioning giving pot to vets equate with liking "to push my morals on other people" and "not being pleased with the way others live their lives"?
THAT is quite an odd leap in logic from you. OR do you just dislike me, so you make the VERY WORST of what I write?
God bless you and yours.
strobe light crossings?
FDR welfare was not a charity project.
Ultimately, it was.
Alcohol is legal for adults only, and since the people in that state voted it legal, so should pot be for adults only. My example to my kids was that some things are for adults only-period, no arguments.
Morals will be pushed in law, whether you believe they should or not. We cannot live in a vacuum. It’s impossible.
Sounds cool-like a 70’s disco...
Every time I wonder if things could possibly get any worse in this country, it invariably does.
1. If Texas wants to put legal pot on the ballot they are welcome to it. They KNOW that too.
2. Good lesson to your children.
I’m not (nor have I ever been) a pot-head.
But I do wonder how many of the drug warriors here have ever even tried it. Does anyone here, who’s fighting the drug war, really have a grasp on what pot does? Or are they all working from the fear of the unknown?
I don’t think marijuana is less harmful than alcohol and I don’t think drug addiction is any better than alcoholism. Furthermore, when you add a welfare culture to an irresponsible culture and then throw in a permissive drug culture, you get a whole lot of Democrats and that’s about as useful as a belly full of parasitic worms.
It is Utopia to them. They think society will be perfected through smoke and hallucinations
Anywhere the donor has no choice, it isn’t charity.
I know what you mean. There seems to be no bottom when it comes to the degenerate depths America is willing to sink to.
Just like the insane notion that the taxpayers should be funding everybody’s birth-control, I TRULY have little doubt that in a short time, there will be demands that the government provide free dope to everyone. No matter how far-flung, nothing seems inconceivable anymore. Absolutely nothing. America has become an insane asylum.
yes I know full well about drugs.
Sister started on weed and turned to heroin years later with everything in between for a bigger high, brother is a drug dealer and done time.
I see what drugs do to people and their families, and those liberals and liberaltarians using their slogan of less Govt is a pure cop out as it is those people who really want to do anything with no consequences.
do you ask that of those who are pro-gay... “ever try it?”
those who oppose murder.... every try that?
those who are opposed to meth and cocaine should try those too?
Pot is far less shocking than gay marriage. It might be possible to honor the Lord with pot. Not possible with gay marriage.
Pushing pot, like this, is unseemly. But I think any of us would wish even that was the worst thing America had to face right now.
