What drives them:

They hate America.

They and or their phoney non profits are funded by the Opecker princes.

They and their peers want shortages of oil, gas, electricity, water, food and other necessities. Then they can increase their power by rationing and controlling the use of these necessities.

They are worthless in a capitalist society, and they know that. So they create shortages and fake crisis’s like Gorebull Warming to hold power over the rest of us.

Bingo.

Remember, the Left is for anything that fosters dependency and against anything that empowers people to see to their own personal and economic security. They want energy to be so expensive that only limousine Liberals can afford their own cars while the rest of us are herded into mass transit — wherein commissar decide when and where we can go.

Whenever and where ever the free market succeeds, fault will be found and the shrill extremist elements will be heard. Their complaint is not about what the free market does, but is an ideological opposition to the very idea of a free market. One need not look too long or far to find the ideological roots of such thinking.

Couldn't the concerns about the long-term effects on the unground water supply be valid?

What I don't get at all is making coal mining impossible. The long-term effects of coal are known, enough so that technology could address them.

Grampa Dave, excellent summary in a single short post. Followed by your excellent tagline. You really are good at stating what we are up against.

they love the Orwellian psychopath language and its vehicles.

Most anithunters for example could care less about animals, as if they are a bunch of crazy people looking for an excuse to kill someone wholesome simply because they themselves are not and feel outside.

Another example is islamists who on the one hand claim they are victim of crusaders, while on the other hand they want to be praised for their invasions and forced conversions.

They all project their polluting parasitic lives wasting resources on some business.
