What drives them:

They hate America.

They and or their phoney non profits are funded by the Opecker princes.

They and their peers want shortages of oil, gas, electricity, water, food and other necessities. Then they can increase their power by rationing and controlling the use of these necessities.

They are worthless in a capitalist society, and they know that. So they create shortages and fake crisis’s like Gorebull Warming to hold power over the rest of us.

What Drives Anti-Fracking Zealots?

It's the same thing that drives the Global Warming zealots. They dream of being socially relevant, just like their parents were back in the 70's, when mommy and daddy marched against the Vietnam war.

It's all about being liberal chic. Put on your Che Guevara shirt and grab your protest sign. Facts don't matter. Heck, most of them don't even know the facts.

Anyone on THIS SITE that doesn’t know the answer to that question really has NO BUSINESS calling himself a conservative.

(by the way, the answer is liberals, including Democrat leaders, simply hate America and want to knock it down a few pegs)

It’s all about being a “watermelon”.Of course we all know that a watermelon is green on the outside and red on the inside. These same creatures can be found at “peace” rallies,at rallies defending “women’s health centers” and at rallies demanding that W be sent to The Hague for trial.

I’ve listened to liberals quietly say things like, “it would be best if about 25% of the world’s population died off.” The percentage they’d like to see varies. Somehow they see this die-off as not affecting them, but instead freeing up beach property and resources they need. It’s not unusual for these big green contributors to drive a BMW super car or better. They hold the gun-toting-bitter-clingers in contempt.

Yes, we know why.

Fracking isn’t going away, the economy would fall apart without it.

90% of all new wells are fracked, and all the product trapped in shale will be produced, even the product now located in closed areas. The areas closed by the commies will get opened when other areas have been produced.

The only way that won’t happen is through an energy breakthrough not on the forseeable horizon today.

The anti-frack movement is a paper tiger. The only reason they get away with closing areas now is the wealth of other areas available. The closed federal deposits will be opened in the future also, there will be no other choice as the govt needs the tax revenue and the economy requires the product.

So many of these environmental kooks come from wealthy backgrounds. They have theirs but they think they’re doing the world a great service by fighting the “evil” oil and mining companies. What they’re doing in reality is denying every other American the chance for upward mobility and living comfortable lives. Energy self sufficiency allows our economy to expand and provide better opportunities for all Americans. These idiots don’t want that. They are elitists. They’re perfectly happy keeping people poor and downtrodden as long as they can maintain power and control over them, which is their ultimate goal anyways.

From the Notebooks of Lazarus Long:
There are hidden contradictions within the minds of people who “love nature” while deploring the “artificialities” with which “Man has spoiled ‘Nature.” The obvious contradiction lies in their choice of words, which imply that Man and his artifacts are not part of “Nature”--but beavers and their damns are. But the contradictions go deeper than this prima-facie absurdity. In declaring his love for a beaver damn (erected by beavers for beaver’s purposes) and his hatred for dams erected by men (for the purpose of men) the “Naturist” reveals his hatred for his own race--i.e., his own self-hatred. In the case of “Naturists” such self—hatred is understandable; they are such a sorry lot. But hatred is too strong an emotion to feel toward them; pity and contempt are the most they rate. As for me, willy-nilly I am a man, not a beaver, and H. Sapiens is the only race I have or can have. Fortunately for me, I like being part of a race made up of men and women-- it strikes me as a fine arrangement and perfectly “natural.” Believe it or not, there were “Naturists” who opposed the first flight to old Earth’s Moon as being “unnatural” and a “despoiling of nature.”

Once they nationalize the oil companies in Amerika all restrictions will be lifted.

For the good of the people.
