Actually Fluke's only opponent is also a Democrat. Its a D vs D race in the general election.You would think that at my advanced age I would know better than to open my mouth in order to insert my foot in it. Thanks for the FYI.

Your assumption made sense. In normal places, contested general elections for State Assembly are D vs R.
California isn't normal.
