Unfortunately, sometimes high school looks a lot like a real-life version of the movie "Mean Girls." Case in point, a group of girls at Grand Prairie High School in north Texas tricked 17-year-old Lillian Skinner into thinking she was nominated for the homecoming court.
The truth is, she wasn't actually nominated, but the story doesn't end there. Her two friends Anahi Alvarez and Naomi Martinez, who were nominated, heard about the cruel prank and came up with a plan. They decided that if either of them won, the winner would give the crown to Lillian. "We promised each other, and we were like, 'No matter what, no backing down. If one of us wins, we're giving Lillian the crown,'" Martinez told NBCDFW.

Those 2 girls aren’t girls, they are ladies.
God bless Texas. It’s nice to know that some people still teach their children about character.
A very nice story. Those girls parents must be very proud.
Yep, men are amateurs at mean. Or at least men are more open about the mean. Women/girls are secretive, back-stabbing, and vindictive. Go us. LOL

I’d recommend watching the Prom Scene from Carrie before playing this “prank” on anyone. Cruelty should not turn out well.
i love her response! she takes no credit in her sacrifice! admirable character for a young lady! what wonderful friends to have...
Awesome girls, yes. Some dentist, however, should offer his/her services for free for that poor girl, as getting her teeth fixed would help her out for the future.
Very nice story. Thanks for posting ....
I was thinking the same thing. Lawyers do pro-bono work (and so many of them are pond scum). It would be nice if some orthodontist offered to help this girl.
This story is making me smile.
God bless all.
A little glimmer of hope on an otherwise hopeless terrain.
Best story of the week! Thanks!
I would think there would be a pond scum orthodontist to help her out.
That was a magnanimous move.
There are unethical doctors but that is not the point here. The point is that if even opportunistic, unethical attorneys could help, maybe doctors (who tend to be much more ethical) could, too. Maybe a combination of resources.
As well, I’d like to get those girls who pranked her in a room.........
Yes, that is the point I was trying to make.
Kudos to some really outstanding young ladies.
