I had a root canal recently.
The freedom from pain now is indescribable. I was living in pain for years before the root canal, and now, I can chew pain-free again. It’s such a relief!
If your dentist recommends a root canal, don’t hesitate—get it done right away!

Sorry to say, mine was solved by a root canal as it was an infection. Ear pain pretty much confirms it.
To make it through the night, or weekend - advil, orajel, cold compresses and the aforementioned whiskey or booze of choice.

Actually they carve it from the thighbone of a wampa, pack it into dry ice and ship it via solar sail from alpha centauri, lose it in new jersey for three days, missend it to a wrong address in Rockland county new York, then finally pack it on the back of a hamster caravan where it finally arrives...
....and must be sent back due to it being wrong.

If you don’t have oil of cloves or a little bottle of oral anesthetic, try parking an 81 aspirin (I like orange) directly on the tooth and let it dissolve.
