Hello, Canteen folks! It’s been a while...
Hi Connie!

Grillin' time this weekend?

How are you all doing? Racing any? *Hugs*
Read: 2 Chronicles 24:15-22
Joash must have been confused and frightened when he was told about the evil deeds of his grandmother Athaliah. She had murdered his brothers to usurp the power of the throne in Judah. But baby Joash had been safely hidden away by his aunt and uncle for 6 years (2 Chron. 22:10-12). As he grew, he enjoyed the love and instruction of his caregivers. When Joash was only 7 years old, he was secretly crowned king and his grandmother was overthrown (23:12-15).
Young King Joash had a wise counselor by his sidehis very own Uncle Jehoiada (chs. 2225). Joash was one of the rare good kings of Judah, and while his uncle was alive he obeyed the Lord by doing right (24:2). But once his uncle was no longer there to teach and lead by example, Joash fell away and his life ended badly (24:15-25). It seems that the roots of his faith did not run very deep. He even began to worship idols. Perhaps Joashs faith had been more his uncles than his own.
Others can teach us the principles of their faith, but each of us must come individually to a lasting and personal faith in Christ. For faith to be real, it must become our own. God will help us walk with Him and become rooted and established in the faith (Col. 2:6-7).

If by racing you mean driving a race car, well, no. I’m still working plenty of races though, and this October SCCA is hosting their national championship races at what I consider my “home” track, Laguna Seca.
And lately I’m in really good with Mrs. Tweeze, because I finally replaced her Chrysler for her. :)
All is well your way?
We were supposed to get a bunch of rain out of Odile this week but she was a bust for us here.
Grrrr...you beat me to first!
And I was so idle today, I should have been in there quicker!
All I did today was:
Teach 2 lessons,
Read a Chapter of Crime and Punishment (The BIG chapter with the murders)
Practice 1.5 hours electric Guitar
Practice Fretless bass
Practice Classical Guitar (all scales and modes)
Watch the movie “Gettysburg”( 4.5 hours)
Answer the posts on the Jerusalem thread
Groom Lynn-dah (this produced a fluff ball the size of a soccer ball)
And audited an on-line class in a Master of Divinity program in systematic theology
(Alright...so I came in second. I can live with that!) :-)
BTW, This week, not one but TWO of my students landed singing roles in their school musicals!
Hiya Pro! *Hugs*
How’s you & the family?
Been soooo busy here as of late but soon more Freepin’ time! LOL
“BTW, This week, not one but TWO of my students landed singing roles in their school musicals!”
Surely it was because they had an excellent instructor. :)
Hi Connie!
((((HUGS))))
