All peninsula schools will be ransacked for the extremist literature.
In the self-proclaimed Ministry of Education of Crimea stated that the local education departments in the cities and regions of the peninsula are authorized to conduct an inspection visits with respect to keeping of extremist matter and banned literature, Censor.NET reports citing Hromadske Radio.
The list consists of 2,442 items, including books, articles, pamphlets, and even texts of some songs.
The law enforcement officials together with experts from the Department of Education shall hold the upcoming revision at schools. In case of banned literature detection, members of the inspection will confiscate and destroy it.

Conservatives very often censor what is in their schools.
Remember, this article references what is occurring in the SCHOOLS of Crimea.
Are you of the belief that we should not censor what's available in OUR schools?
I'm certain, given the players, that they are censoring anything that shows Crimea as anything other than Russian is out.
Probably also re-writes all of Ukrainian History.
It's a given that it's political censorship.
But they probably also threw in some social decency stuff to look good.
Of course you never blame Russia for anything. Russia could be bombing us right now and you would be defending them, it would be our fault somehow in your twisted Russkie logic.
We and government are two different things, but apparently not to you.
Yes I am 100% against government censoring anything including in our schools. Parents alone have the God given right what their children should and should not be seeing/reading. Government should never be trusted with any power to remove anything from free people who have a right to decide for themselves what they can read/say/write/ or otherwise inform/educate/speak themselves. Once a govt has the authority to tell us what we can read/see or say we have lost all rights.
The Russian govt is still one of the world’s worse censors and under Putin the Russian people and the people in the lands they have invaded are being fed lies and are not free to hear the truth. That is why we have people like you who support Russia and it’s evil against free people, you believe the Russian propaganda. The ONLY answer for the people of Russia and the people of the Ukraine (which includes Crimea) is freedom from authoritarian systems of govt like the Russian govt under Putin and the govt the Ukraine rid themselves of earlier this year, which was in fact the Russian govt under Putin with a puppet govt in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian people want freedom (from Russia) and are willing to fight and die for it and you hate that, which says all I need to know about you.
So is the state and county dept's of ed.
Those are your mechanisms for "censorship" of what is in the school library.
And, I suggest, it's a good thing that what is available in the schools is censored.
However, I don't believe in any censorship for adults. None.

I am completely against censorship. But if you're going to do it, that's a start.
The Russian communists new version of “Farenheit 481”, and smucks like John Batchelor (Show) believe the Marxist propaganda of guests like Prof. Stephen Cohen (NYU), that the Crimean insurgents are looking for democracy.
Yep, over 90% of this crap is Muzzie hate-preaching stuff. The rest 10% are anti-Semitic, National-bolshevic and other conspiracy hate-preaching pamphlets.
It is funny that if you post anything similar to the content of Russian federal list for banned material on Freerepublic it would be immediately removed and after a few incidents like that poster would be most likely banned, not without a couple requests from people who are disappointed with these news.
Yet, when Russia bans a book ‘Judeo-Christian plague’ (#9 on list) by Kiev State Publishers from the public school library it is a ‘book burning’. To me though I’m personally against a censure in all forms, it is still a bigger problem that things like that are both printed by national publishers and pushed to the children at schools.
Such a material is certainly viewed as malicious by some Freepers when it is in American public school or on Freerepublic but it is OK if it is fed by muzzies and natsbols to Russian children.
One would call this approach a double standard but they would most likely disagree and say it is a ‘diverse approach’.
Wait .... you mean that wasn’t an excerpt from Orwell’s “1984”?
Browse a list of banned stuff. It is transparent and freely available on a Russian DoJ website. You can read the list using online translators easily.
If you think that books and articles like ‘(Stop the) Judeo-Christian plague’ by Kiev State Publishers or ‘Stop the American treachery in Iraq, be vigilant, Muslims’, or ‘Kick the Kike’ has their place in a school library, save these precious literature and teach to your children by yourself. It is not illegal to own this crap under Russian law, just to distribute. Isn’t in ironic that Russian DoJ list consists anti-American propaganda as a banned stuff too?
Just go ahead and post the list here, let’s take a look.
#29, #27, #5
All the banned material is either muzzie or nazi or commie hate preaching agitprop, which is OK and pushed on kids in Crimean public schools.
Yep got you...you are for government censorship when you agree with it, government censorship authority supersedes parents rights and authority over their own children.
The thing with censors is once they take any authority over what can be read/seen/heard/spoken/written, their censorship keeps increasing...there is no end (communism 101). At some point the censors who wanted what they wanted censored, say wait a minute I don’t want that censored! Too late the authority is in place. Communists and socialist and fascists have to have censorship to keep authority and keep the people serfs, that is exactly what is happening in Crimea. They start with what most will agree is bad “bad words...bad thoughts” and keep on censoring till only the government propaganda remains. The Russians are masters at censorship and oppressing free people, leaving serfs and dead people who dared oppose them with bad words, illegal words.
Show me.
Use a online translate programs and you see it is not related to to Crimea.
I find all this so-called translated news articles to be of dubious value for exactly that reason.
Were the people of Crimea freer under Ukrainian authority or now under Russian authority? Only liars will say under Russian authority. And the Russians have only begun their evil work in Crimea.
I am certain if Crimeans were polled without fear of Russian authority the vast majority would vote for being part of Ukraine not Russia, even after all the ethnic cleansing in Crimea these last 4 months.
Oh yea we are really surprised you are a censor.
It is posted on this thread already, read the posts I referred to.
BTW, I have contributed to the list at the time too, on behalf of a Jewish organization. Helped them with paperwork and in a court hearings vs a neo-communist Russian supremacist group. Also helped them to fend off an appeal of a muzzie imams in a higher court to remove a couple of muzzie hate preaching pieces from list.
Nyet, comrade. Post the entire list, or pick and choose. If you pick and choose, don’t complain that someone observes the same.
