I think George W. Bush beat him in those debates. Kerry did get in a dig at VPOTUS Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter, however.
An adequate guy on our side should have been able to mop the floor with Kerry. Just winning wasn’t sufficient.
Although I don’t give Bush high marks for debating, I agree he won. I also think the debate format hinders a free open discussion of the issues.
I don’t remember the exact structure of those debates, but you probably know what I mean.
As for Cheney’s daughter, if a Republican tried to make points on the subject of a Democrat having a Lesbian daughter, the only question that Republican would asked for the next five years would be related to it, with the goal of destroying that Republican. When the advocates for homosexuals do it, it’s just a grand idea. The press is all a flutter with the tactic. DISGUSTING!
