Will she tell her viewers that 50% of all shooting victims are black men? Probably not. She’ll more likely focus on the small fraction that are killed in school shootings and how those evil “assault weapons” need to be banned because of it.

Dozens will watch.

Hopefully she will do a series on other massive causes of death; bathtubs, drunk drivers, abortion, suicide. And the biggest killer in the last century: collectivism.

Good lord katie, humans have been killing each other for millennia using every contrivance know to man. Perhaps it’s in our best interest to arm ourselves. I’ll bet she has armed security.

"Katie Couric and Stephanie Soechtig, who tackled childhood obesity in this year's documentary Fed Up,"

Laugh if you want but that documentary got almost 220 views on youtube.

Not much gun violence inside here, a place where the antigunners' wet dream of a society where only the police and military are armed came true for a while.

This old busy body needs to mind her own business..she can't seem to hold down a job but can tell us what to do..It isn't the violence she is worried about but how all people need to turn over their guns to Holder and Obama.

Will this has been Katie the Perky One mention that more people are killed every year by hammers than by semi-automatic rifles?

Will her bogus “documentary” even use the correct term, “semi-automatic rifles?”

It already sounds like a major suckfest of a “documentary.”

I’ve posted this before, but some may have missed it.

This is a recap of her knowledge of firearms:

During the Wash., DC sniper attack, she was interviewing, IIRC, an FBI agent. She told him that she understood that what made the AR-16 so deadly is because it had (I kid you not) “spirals in the barrel”.

The agent, instead of ROTFLing all over the place, kept his composure and just said “yes ma’am”.

Per DOJ Statistics, between 1976-2005 blacks represented 12% of the population yet accounted for 52.2% of all homicides committed.

Wonder if that will be in her report?/s

Wonder if this little factoid will be in her report?

Dispelling the myth of the “wild west”

In his book, Frontier Violence: Another Look, author W. Eugene Hollon, provides us with these astonishing facts:
•In Abilene, Ellsworth, Wichita, Dodge City, and Caldwell, for the years from 1870 to 1885, there were only 45 total homicides. This equates to a rate of approximately 1 murder per 100,000 residents per year.
•In Abilene, supposedly one of the wildest of the cow towns, not a single person was killed in 1869 or 1870.

Zooming forward over a century to 2007, a quick look at Uniform Crime Report statistics shows us the following regarding the aforementioned gun control “paradise” cities of the east:

•DC – 183 Murders (31 per 100,000 residents)

Baltimore – 281 Murders (45 per 100,000 residents)

Newark – 104 Murders (37 per 100,000 residents)

It doesn’t take an advanced degree in statistics to see that a return to “wild west” levels of violent crime would be a huge improvement for the residents of these cities.

The truth of the matter is that the “wild west” wasn’t wild at all … not compared to a Saturday night in Newark.
