Now to see who in the know in Kremlin, FSB, Russian military has the evidence Putin ordered this.
The launcher (with only it’s acquisition radar) did not have the full accompaniment (the full-radar vehicle), nor the command vehicle. Basically a tracked vehicle, with short-range walkie-talky capability, and maybe a cellphone. There was no Putin-to-General X-to-push button dude contact.
The guy in the launch vehicle? He’s six-feet-under already. His usefulness ended around forty-eight hours after the plane came down.
All of this leads back to a half-baked Russian strategy, with no real end point that you can envision....except to aggravate the EU, and counter-point the weak US capability. The last time I checked...there’s no court to fix stupid decisions by Putin.
We already know who ordered the shooting down of a passenger plane.
No one did.
Only a real idiot would think anyone did.
What motive? What benefit? None.
The idea that anyone there intentionally shot down a passenger plane is absurd. It obviously was a misidentification, an accident.
Same as when the Ukraine army shot down a passenger plane in 2001, same as when the USA shot down a passenger plane in 1998.
The fact is that it defied common sense to fly a passenger plane right over the middle of a tiny warzone where multiple military planes had recently been shot down.
If you want to look for blame, whoever sent it over that path would share in it.
The pilot, the airline, the air traffic controllers, and the country for raising the flight ceiling instead of simply diverting traffic around the small war zone.
Should we call them "30 million dollar tapes".
Some from the Kiev junta may be tempted.
