Could Ebola survive long enough to be sent through the mail? Scary if so. That would be unlikely. There are other modes of spread that would be simple, even with limited specialized skills and knowledge.

Hypothetically ,.. yes.
Someone who has Ebola sheds viruses when showing outward physical symptoms
If the victim touches a hard surface, these virus sheds are called 'fomites'
Fomites can remain alive for up to 5 days, depending on temperature and humidity.
So yes,technically it is possible , but unlikely .
Or , just don't pick up your mail for 5 days , in which case you need a larger mailbox due to the build up of outstanding bills.
