They’re already talking about borrowing to keep the new nation afloat. What’s sad is that there’s no plan to fix that.
Reading the net traffic on the subject is depression. Like SC here, they’re talking about culture, the environment, and public services. (One of my favorite comments on YouTube was a Scottish woman who said that the economy wasn’t very important.) The ‘yes’ crowd seems to crave their own shot at a socialist utopia.
It’s going to be a mess. But it’s their mess. This is how people learn. *sigh*
So they got their own language now?
*SWOON*
Sean Connery has lived in Spain, the Bahamas and New York for decades instead of Scotland. What does he care?
God bless you, Mr. Connery.
Clan Cameron War Cry: “Chlanna nan con thigibh a so’s gheibh sibh feoil”
(Sons of the hounds, come here and get flesh.)
Yes.
“The languages of Scotland are the languages spoken or once spoken in Scotland. The numerous languages spoken in Scotland during its recorded linguistic history fall into either the Germanic or Celtic language families. The classification of the Pictish language was once controversial but it is now generally considered a Celtic language. Today, the primary languages spoken in Scotland are English, Scots and Scottish Gaelic. The dialect of English spoken in Scotland is referred to as Scottish English.”

Health issues and year around golf, he likes the sunny warm climates.
Quebec would fold without Alberta and Saskatchewan propping it up with oil revenue.
As for Scotland, it’s a first world problem. The only reason why I can see them wanting to go was the idiotic decisions made prior to Cameron to let flood the place with muslims.
They have a gazillion muslim immigrants.
Eh...I’m passionate about Texas. I have the means to go there. I choose to remain here. Does that make me a hypocrite?
Must one establish residency in a place before one can express an opinion about it, or a preference for its destiny?
No, of course not. OTOH, Connery’s got a lot of influence on people on this issue, but he won’t be there to live with the consequences. Whatever those may be. That’s all.
Scottish word "furth" means "out of" or "outside".
Now Mr. Connery's sentence makes sense.

No, they aren’t. I don’t know where this comes from. The Muslim pop of Scotland is very small, 76,000 out of 5.5m. And the Hindu and Sikh communities are strongly pro-Union.
The UK nor Scotland dosent.
The UK as a whole has 4% of its population as Muslim. Scotland’s is 76000 out of 5.5m. Very small. NI and Wales even less.
So we have a UK with 96% NON MUSLIM, and three parts of the UK where the % is 1% or less.
Which would be even more liberal. The YES campaign has stated this.
Not if they join the EU, which they said they intend to do. The EU sets immigration policy (open borders) for all member states.
Quebec is the only place on earth where the people are more French than the French.
