"If you don't like me I won't be here forever. If you don't like this government it won't last forever. But if you leave the UK that will be forever."

Don't forget haggis and oatmeal ...
If this vote is yes, and #Scotland is independent, does it mean its forever? If things don’t go as planned, could Scotland vote again to rejoin the UK?
People are discussing consequences of independence. I’m just wondering that if independence doesn’t bring hoped for results, is Scotland allowed to change their minds in another vote?
I understand there are serious repercussions from this, but not sure if irreversible damage is done as a result of this potential split.
If a bare majority vote for independence, will those who voted against independence move to secede from Scotland? Will there be two Scotlands like there are two Irelands?
Referendums cant be hold for another five years.
BUT the SNP would have to keep winning the Scots elections and pass another bill to hold another vote. IMO if the NO’s win, we’ll see a resurgence of antinationalism: Labour, Tories, UKIP, Liberal Democrats. Esp Labour.
“But if you leave the UK that will be forever.”
I think that’s the general idea. LOL!
>>Countries that gained independence from the British Empire...<<
So long as they play cricket, they never REALLY gained independence.
And Canada has pictures of QE on their money and in all their federal offices.
The only country that completely gained independence was the USA.
“Will there be two Scotlands like there are two Irelands?”
There would need to be a British lord threatening unionist terrorism against the nationalist Scottish for that to happen the same way.
But if you leave the UK that will be forever.
Can the US rejoin?
We’d get the Queen, instead of the present occupant of a certain house in Washington.
>>I hardly think shortbread and whiskey is going to be the basis of a strong economy.....<<
But don’t forget they have haggis!
I hope that Scotland ignores him.
Time to stock up on popcorn.
“So long as they play cricket, they never REALLY gained independence.”
:-)
Would love to break out “Braveheart” and celebrate, but from what I’ve read modern day Scotland is even further left than England.
So why should I care?
I was also thinking of Virginia. Virginia seceded from the US, then West Virginia seceded from Virginia and be part of the US. Scotland could be headed toward a similar fate.

What death throes?
Free college tuition and a bunch of other stuff goes bye bye
Just tell them they can forget about Celtic and Rangers ever joining the English Premier League.
