No doubt she’d make a superb commissioner. However I really would rather see such intellect be directed at topics that actually make a difference in the world. After all, her IQ is twice the sum of all the current White House/West Wing inhabitants. Same for her accomplishments.

As far back as 2002 Ms Rice described becoming NFL Commissioner as her dream job. $40 million a year? Yeah, it's my dream job too!

[LIBERAL] Politicians and womens groups were enraged
When are they NOT enraged?
And why stop at Condi Rice? Why not Martha Stewart, Nancy Pelosi, Rosie O'Donnell or Katie Couric?

To ask the obvious: Who the heck cares what Condi Rice thinks about football? Who is shocked by "domestic violence" committed by thugs on women who swarm around them willinglybefore and after? Who, among athletes, with the history of sports being open to anyone with a library card, didn't know that slamming into other guys just as big as you could get you hurt and shorten your life?
No one, of course.
So, is this latest round of chick-i-fication attempts in football designed to distract everyone from the fact that chick-i-fication and the moral weakness that gives rise to it is what allowed black-thug culture to take over football and cause these problems to begin with?

The NFL took in $9 billion last year. It does not seem very troubled to me.

Support is growing for a campaign to draft Condoleezza Rice as Commissioner for the troubled National Football League (NFL). Any bets on whether those same people would be exploding in rage if she is nominated as VP in two years?

My $0.02:
1. If the owners get to decide, she has no chance.
2. She would be a great NFL Commissioner.
3. We would lose some great players that would be forced out of the game.
4. The owners would be upset about the loss of those great players.
5. See 1 above.

She’s a triple bonus - black, female and lesbo. Dumbest idea I’ve heard today. So far.

Never happen.
As part of the EEEEEEEVIL George W. Bush Administration, the NFL and it’s uber-PC crowd would no more allow this than they’d allow Limbaugh to own 4% of the St. Louis Rams.
But if you haven’t noticed, Donna Shalala is retiring from her job as President of the University of Miami....

"The crisis has led to calls for Ms Rice, a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan"
This line calls into question her judgement....
