Bible May Solve Colossal Ancient Iceberg Riddle
by Brian Thomas, M.S. *
What is the recipe for making an iceberg? Scientists know the basics from watching polar-ice sheets. Huge chunks calve, slide off, and float away as icebergs. But thats for modern icebergs. New research reveals evidence of ancient icebergs that would dwarf todays frozen floating mountains, leaving secular explanations out in the cold.
Researchers from Germanys Alfred-Wegener Institute (AWI), Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, published in Geophysical Research Letters their discovery of five deep scours at almost 4,000 feet below sea level and about 250 miles off Greenlands eastern coast at Hovgaard Ridge.1 There, the Fram Strait permits polar ice to enter one of the worlds larger oceans, an annual process that helps regulate marine ecosystems and global weather patterns.

Really? Which people are claiming that?
Didn't you, in #13?
I was citing Biblical history. You’ve read the book, or no?
That’s very interesting poll refining. I’ve certainly been guilty of just seeing the Gallup results for the basic 37 % responding to their Devine creation < 10k. Thanks for this information. It makes me more cheerful.
Assuming a biblical timeline, massive amounts of volcanic activity took place during the Flood year and immediately afterward. The volcanic ash from these eruptions would have blocked out enough solar radiation to cool the atmosphere for hundreds of years after the Flood waters subsidedjust what was needed to form the thick ice sheets that existed during the centuries-long ice age.
I've read the book, must have missed the part about all the ice that lasted for "Centuries" after the flood. I would have thought that someone may have mentioned it since Noah and his band of survivors probably didn't plan on winter gear when they landed.
Setting your disagreements with the Biblical account aside for the moment, would you not agree that such an event as the Biblical deluge described would have significantly altered the planet in quite a few ways? If there was no precipitation, as described, until Noah et al. boarded the ark, do you suppose they were given rain gear? I’m not quite grasping the level of equipment you’re expecting of deity, here.
The massive boat, should that deity have just popped in into existence in your opinion, with raincoats and parkas hanging by the door, lol? Poor babies, they had to work for it, and they were (gasp!) bullied. You’re engaging in silliness because you do not agree with Christianity or Judaism as far as the current state of the world and how it came to be. Just say that and drop the pretense.
