There is apparently no more important story or issue right now at the Politico than Ted Widmer's question about our national anthem: "Is It Time to Ditch the Star-Spangled Banner?" It is currently the lead item at the web site, complete with a huge picture of the American flag. The "beheading by ISIL of a British aid worker" and Wisconsin's court-granted ability to implement voter-ID in the fall elections are both apparently less important. - See more at: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/2014/09/13/politico-lead-story-it-time-ditch-star-spangled-banner#sthash.B4XsZOqY.dpuf

Someone please post the “not this shit again” picture.
I’d best not comment on that moronic question.
I have heard it is difficult to sing but it sure sounds good.
One of the best National Anthems there is.
lol Agreed.
When it began being sung(badly) at Football games and car races it lost some of it’s glory. When you are standing at attention on foreign soil and hear it being played, it is one of the most beautiful sounds on earth, with apologies to our current Commander in Chief who finds the same attachment to the Muslim call to Prayer.
Is it time to ditch Pollutico?
“You could always use the fake East German National Anthem from “Top Secret”
Hail, hail East Germany
Land of fruit and grape
Land where you’ll regret
If you try to escape
No matter if you tunnel under or take a running jump at the wall Forget it, the guards will kill you, if the electrified fence doesn’t first.
They could have said, “Is it time for a new national anthem?” But no...they had to talk about DITCHING it. I truly hate these people...and they know they elicit that kind of response, which makes me hate them even more.
They might as well make it The Internationale, the leftists’ choice would be that Commie Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land.”
whitney houston star spangled banner
Roseanne Barr's singing certainly didn't help...
My favorite line from Top Secret!
Hillary Flammond: My uncle was born in America.
Nick Rivers: Oh, really?
Hillary Flammond: But he was one of the lucky ones. He managed to escape in a balloon during the Jimmy Carter presidency.
A guy wrote a great response to a question like this and how we should just break up the country and we would take our traditions, customs and heritage that the left is ashamed of, and they could do what ever they wanted to, just get out of our hair. I liked it. But I didn’t keep it
They want to ditch it because none if their liberal voice “arteests” can sing it without screeching and screwing it up.
