Had Brian Fallon, Attorney General Eric Holder's communications director, just said, Sorry, wrong number, and hung up a week ago Friday, his apparent attempt to coordinate a document leak with staff for the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's ranking Democrat, Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, wouldn't be the IRS targeting scandal's latest twist.
But Mr. Fallon didn't realize he had actually called staff for the committee's Republican majority before saying he wanted to leak documents so the Department of Justice, unwilling to release them officially, could comment on them. That's according to a Monday letter from Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the committee's chairman, to Mr. Holder. The documents concern a former Justice attorney who worked with Lois Lerner, the scandal's central figure.
Mr. Issa wrote that Fallon's call indicates longstanding collaboration involving the Obama administration and Mr. Cummings' staff to obfuscate and prejudice the committee's work through under the table coordination. That follows Issa's April accusation that Cummings' staff worked secretly with the IRS to attack conservative group True the Vote as it sought tax-exempt status.
These actions suggest a criminal conspiracy at the highest levels of our federal government. And all of these actions should be prosecuted accordingly.
And absolutely nothing is going to be done about it by our spineless RINO’s!
“Cummings should have been expelled from the Committee”
I’ve been saying (screaming) that ever since we found out that Cummings was sending emails to the IRS.
I still can’t figure out how a person involved in the investigation can be allowed to sit on the Committee. He is able to know things that HE SHOULDING BE ALLOWED TO KNOW. I’m very confident he’s informing the IRS on every thing he finds out.
I’m about to call his local CA office and scream some more.
More than a mere smidgen?
I thought Cummings was a Congressman from Maryland...
He should have been expelled a long time ago. But it would take someone with backbone. And who would that be?
Never mind...
"Law"-yah, but it's only for the "little people", not our big, bad, elitist, government.
A hoot and a half!

Suggests? Seems like smoking gun to me.
You got nothing !
Legally, a telephone conversation is ' Hearsay Evidence', and by itself is NOT ADMISSABLE in court.
However, given this information, you put Brian Fallon under sworn oath, and if he admits , you can have legal prosecution ,
If under sworn oath he denies , you present the evidence , and charge him with perjury
Regardless, you issue a subpoena for all corespondence and phone calls between (S)cummings and the "JUST-US" Dept.
You issue a 2nd subpoena for all corespondence and phone calls between the "JUST-US" Dept. and (S)cummings. You issue a 3rd subpoena for all corespondence and phone calls between the "JUST-US" Dept.Eric Holder and (S)cummings.
Then , and only then, do you have them 'boxed in', and you look for any discrepency in the contacts made, and the dates, and the subject matter.
Since Cummings was named in the issue , he should 'recuse' himself from the investigation , and any further matter before this committee.
I would also reccomend two subpoenas for Nancy Pelousey for any contact she has had with Cummings , and another for any contact she has had with the "JUST-US" Dept.,
regading her insistance that Cummings sit on this committee, as she had originally been opposed to it.
Now , you have all the primary perps 'boxed in', and now see where the investigation will go, and see if the 'perps' ask for "EXECUTIVE PRIVILEDGE" protection, like they did in "FAST and FURIOUS".
WITHOUT SWORN TESTIMONY YOU HAVE ........ (crickets!)
“Im about to call his local CA office and scream some more.

I think the poster was referring to calling Issa’s office which is in California. But screaming at Issa won’t do any good, he’s all horn and no driveshaft.

Laws in a free country are designed to protect the ‘little people’. Elites have the power and means to ‘protect’ themselves... they don’t need laws. Laws stand in the way of thugs...
Don’t make light of them...
Have you noticed democrats are obsessed with ‘speed’ and want speed to trump law? It’s because liberal elites think like criminals.. Dictators feels the same way.
Telephone conversations, by evidence that a call was made to the number assigned at the time by the telephone company to a particular person or business, if (A) in the case of a person, circumstances, including self-identification, show the person answering to be the one called, or (B) in the case of a business, the call was made to a place of business and the conversation related to business reasonably transacted over the telephone.
I’m not sure what you’re saying here... can the call be used?
Yes, if phone records show the call was placed from Brian Fallon’s phone (or switchboard) to the Republican staff’s phone, and the staff member testifies as to the call.
