Phyllis Bennis is a Melissa Harris-Perry fave. How bonkers-left is Bennis? She's a defender of Iran and its nuclear ambitions, and wants Israel wiped off the map, to be replaced by a single Palestinian state.
On today's MH-P, Bennis once again put her radical views on display, arguing that many US soliders aren't truly volunteers, but are "forced in by poverty and lack of other opportunities." "That's absolutely ridiculours," responded Iraq war veteran Earl Catagnus Jr.

Phyllis Bennis is an Israel-hating, Iran-loving loon. So naturally she’s a favorite MSNBC guest. Ping to Today show list.

Every now and again, I yearn for the total annihilation of all of mankind.
That way we can be sure the Phyllis Bennis's of the world are GONE.

What the heck is that? Is that the infamous "indian perfessor", Churchill?
As for the soldiers being "forced" into the military "by poverty", that's pure BS. I spent 22 years in the military, I know that's BS. Calling them "po folks" unpatriotic is very offensive to me. Very 60s, commie hippieish.

All that is true but she is representative of the people who are running the administration and of the president. Is this any further out there than Pelosi’s “end of civilization if Republicans take the Senate” rant. They are justifying seizing power to save us from ourselves.

That might not work.
Remember, even the "dreaded" cockroach has outlived the dinosaurs, and plagues and wars, so, the likes of her might be around even when all humans have been annihilated.

"forced in by poverty and lack of other opportunities."
If that were true, she couldn't blame anybody but the liberals like her, and Obama, who have made this country very hard for anybody to find work and to make a decent living.

Only about 13 to 20% of Americans in the age group are even qualified for the military, in other words the military is far above average, on average, and have been verified as such, health wise, in education, intelligence, criminal dispositions, work ethic, personal responsibility, they make up a kind of elite labor pool, not the left out and desperate.
Rather than trying to make us think that they would be at the bottom of the pool in society, why doesn’t the media do a better job of making it clear that the military is among our best of Americans?
