never understood that.
If Hispanics in general love their country so much and they love to tell people that they are Mexican etc then why the hell are you here.
You can be proud of your heritage but to tell others you are proud to be Mexican doesn’t make sense.
My youngest had a Puerto Rican teacher who was teaching Spanish.
She was telling the class all the time how she is proud to be Puerto Rican, She is Spanish and her country is Puerto Rico.She would tell the kids how beautiful her place of birth was and have the kids celebrate their holidays etc.
She seemed to have forgot that it’s a territory not her country until my youngest aged 11 corrected her.
America has become a place to be used and discarded.
