It seems like a lifetime ago that former Secretary of State Hillary Clintons favorability ratings were something that would inspire fits of jealousy in any politician. In fact, Clintons monumental popularity was not a feature of the distant past. As recently as January, a Gallup poll showed that the former secretary had a net favorability rating with the public of 19 points.
Not even a year later, that public esteem for Clinton has disappeared. The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that the public is essentially split on whether Clinton is likeable enough. 43 percent of respondents said that they had a favorable opinion of Clinton while 41 percent said the opposite. Thats a staggering decline in favorability in NBC/WSJs polling from as recently as the winter of 2013 when 56 percent of the public said they regarded Clinton highly while only 25 percent disagreed.
Among those who have a positive view of Clinton, 21 considered it a very positive view while another 22 percent said it was only a somewhat positive opinion. Meanwhile, among those who hold a negative view of the former secretary, 26 percent said it was a very negative view while only 15 percent were lukewarm on their distaste for the likely Democratic presidential standard-bearer.
The numbers suggest Americans are far less charitable about Ms. Clinton when she is seeking office or, in this case, merely considering it than they are about other politicians who retire from public office, The Journal noted.
They cite the fact that both former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush have seen an improvement in their favorability ratings since leaving office.

People don’t like her because she’s shrill and fugly-——among other reasons.
I won’t tell you “I told you so”, but...
I’ve said ever since the buzz began a year or two ago that Hillary is to the left what Sarah is to the right. Neither is electable.
But at least Sarah is smart and has a good track record. Can you imaging hillary successfully getting involved in media as Sarah has? It would be laughable.
She is a repulsive human being (talking about her insides, not her looks) with no discernable talent in any area.
As such, she is most certainly an ideal democratic candidate...but then again, there is so much competition out there.
Tuesday, November 7, 2016 is several political lifetimes away. I can’t put much stock in articles like this.
Although I do thank you for posting it.
Been saying for over a year now that hitlery ain’t getting the nod. It will be fauxcahontis
Anymore? When was she ever ‘popular’?....................
She looks like an albino Jabba the Hutt in HD.
Get her off her prepared script and her voice starts sounding like a smoke alarm.
Millenial voters increasingly do not even remember the glorious, gilded age of her husband’s presidency.
The Fake White Indian is much better at telling Dem voters what they want to hear.
I think it will be Julian Castro.
She’s smart enough to drag Bill along in every occasion. People don’t like her but think they will get Bill and that’s the selling point.
If she failed again to get the nod, it would have been hilarious to see MAD and the feud between Michelle O and HRC for the years to come.
A call to the bullpen... warm up Liz Warren.
Maybe she could improve her image by staying home and making cookies.
If Shrillary had not married Bill, she would have been a government bureaucrat in some back office making people’s lives miserable on-purpose.
And nothing more.
she always looks like she sleap in her clothes
As you allude, these same “attributes” applied to Obama. People who are counting on voters to be smarter this time and not fall for the “first woman president” draw are vastly over estimating the intelligence of the average democrat.
The world’s most boring woman.
Good morning,
I was at a pool party with the college crowd and all the women there love Hillary. yep gonna vote for her. She is so pretty and smart!
They really love her.
I am very disappointed, not surprised. And these are genius kids academically. All very smart. I say un-rehabilitateable for sure!
