The closest race at the moment is the one no one has been talking about.
Allan Fung and Ken Block are locked in a dead heat. 2 vote diff with 6% reporting.
Allan Fung (Declared) - Mayor of Cranston Ken Block (Declared) - Founder and former head of the Rhode Island Moderate Party
Gina Raimondo (Declared) - State Treasurer appears to be winning the dem nomination.
In NH, Scott Brown has been declared the winner with 23% reporting against 9 other candidates. Bob Smith is coming in THIRD.
Frank Guinta and Melinda Garcia are taking the republican house nominations.
Big upset in Massachusetts, Seth Moulton has taken out sitting congressman James Tiernery in the dem primary for house district 6. He will now face Richard Tisei.
S. Moulton 49.6% 5,886 J. Tierney (i) 41.4% 4,914 M. DeFranco 6.1% 724 J. Devine 2.2% 259 J. Gutta 0.8% 93
Mass Dem Gov. 21% reporting M. Coakley 40.4% 47,719 S. Grossman 36.7% 43,307 D. Berwick 23.0% 27,125
Mass Rep Gov. 16% reporting C. Baker 75.9% 21,155 M. Fisher 24.1% 6,723
You’d think we’d get some of those N.E. seats back given the national climate. They’re still too overrepresented by Dems.
Ras (Not Ras)
RI Governor
Gina Raimondo (D) 42%, Allan Fung (R) 37%, Others 11%
The “others” is probably mostly Bob Healey of the Moderate Party, I think mostly RINOs vote for them. Their former leader left the party he founded and ran against Fung in the primary.
I was heartily disappointed to hear Fung supports drivers licenses for illegals. A big “WTF ?!?”
Marsha Coakley congratulates you on your dedication to Progress and promises to make you an honorary Masshole, should she win!
Why would a Conservative support a Willardbot Socialist like Charlie Baker ? He’s as lousy as he was 4 years ago.
Google says Fung and Block both said during their debate that they opposed DLs for illegals and support e-verify.
Block, despite being a “Moderate” tried to run to Fung’s right on the issue. He alleges Fung at one time must have supported shamnesty because he voted in favor of a resolution praising “the Immigrant Workers Freedom Ride.” Fung denies that vote means he supported shamnesty.
Harper Poll (R)
NY CD 21
Stefanik (R) 45%, Woolf (D) 37%, Green party dude who’s name doesn’t matter, 7%.
New England College Polls
NH 1
Guinita (R) 51%, Che Porter (D/CPSU) 40%!
CD 2
Kustard (D/NARAL) 50%, Garcia Bonita (R) 39% :(
Emerson College Poll
MA CD 6
Rachel Anne Tisei (R?) 41%, Seth Moulton Lava (D/I don’t like this guy) 39%
Those New England College polls of NH are really weird—we haven’t seen such a large disparity between the NH-01 and NH-02 Democrats or between the NH-01 and NH-02 Republicans all year. While the NH-02 is 3-4 points more Dem than the NH-01, Kuster is a weaker candidate than Che-Guevara Porter. BTW, the NH-01 and the NH-02, along with the TX-23, the NY-18 (formerly the NY-19) and the NY-24 (formerly NY-25), are the only districts that elected a Republican in the GOP years of 2002 and 2004, a Democrat in the Democrat years of 2006 and 2008, a Republican in the GOP year of 2010, and a Democrat in the Democrat year of 2012. With 2014 looking like a very good GOP year, the seats that we win back (and it should be 2 or 3 of them) should be anointed the great bellwether congressional districts of the 21st century.
The NY-21 poll is disappointing, since prior polls had shown Elise Stefanik with a larger lead. If Stefanik can’t beat a third-tier opponent like Aaron Woolf even with a Green Party candidate on the ballot, then we may need to write off the Adirondacks for good.
I’m very surprised that Takei (I mean, Tisei) leads Moulton in that poll, although I can’t imagine that there’s a GOP House candidate about whose election I could care less. Richard Tisei makes Dede Scozzafava seem like Jesse Helms.
The TV ads against “La Sexy Chica” show probably THE WORST pic she ever took in her life (trying to take away her physical attractiveness) and portray her views as “Too extreme even for the Tea Party.” Really, really going after her.
I haven’t seen anything about/against Frank “Joey” Guinta.
Rachel Anne/Slow Moulton: In all honesty, Moulton sounds a bit “slow” when he speaks. My family in that CD will vote for Rachel Anne. It’s going to be close either way.
Yay NY-21!
Kuster appears to have graduated from the Patty Murray school of ditzery.
I’d be surprised if Stefanik lost but it looks like it’s a good thing that there’s a strong Green in the race.
What do you think of our chances in TX-23?
As I believe I posted right after the run-off, I think that our chances at winning the seat went down the drain when Hurd beat Canseco. I just can’t imagine a non-Latino beating out a Mexican-American Blue Dog Democrat in that district.

info on DEM strategy on House races. No big surprise in CT. It is CT afterall. we are behind the Iron CUrtain and need radio free Cuba.
Did you hear, Kerry Bentivolio is adding his spitball shooter to the Army of Darknesses’ futile attempt to restore Queen Nancy to her throne, running as a write in for his House seat after getting reamed in the primary by competent conservative Dave Trott. What a pathetic dweeb.
“I dont think well get enough votes to keep the opponent from getting elected, he said, referring to Trott.”
I want all those seats, all of them, EXTERMINATE THE RATS.

I hope conservatives in the NY 21st district step up their efforts to help Elise Stefanik get her momentum back. They can volunteer, put up a lawn sign, write a letter to the editor, donate, talk to friends, or whatever they wish, but they need to do SOMETHING. Thankfully, at least she’s still ahead, but let’s hope it stays that way, and she takes her larger lead back.
If elected, Stefanik would be the youngest congresswoman ever - from either party.
Further evidence that Paulistinians are not to be trusted.
