Saudis building 560 mile long border fence to keep out ISIS infiltrators

Undeterred by political correctness, Saudi Arabia is taking a step that makes common sense, yet has been difficult to accomplish in America: building a border fence. Israel National News reports:

Saudi Arabia has launched the construction of a high-security five-layered fence on the border with Iraq to protect the desert kingdom from “infiltrators and smugglers,” according to state media quoted by RT.

The fence will cover 900 km (560 miles) of Saudi Arabia’s northern frontier,SPA state news agency reported. Watchtowers, night vision and radars will provide surveillance along the fence.

The project was unveiled by King Abdullah late Friday. It was announced the fence’s purpose was to cut the "number of infiltrators, drug, arms and cattle smugglers to zero."

Saudi Arabia already deployed some 30,000 troops to its border with Iraq, after Iraqi forces abandoned their posts on their side of the border two months ago.

In contrast, in the United States, the demographic transformation of the nation (and electorate) into a de facto bilingual society (see: Belgium and Canada for evidence how well that works out), incorporating millions of poorly-educated newcomers who violate our laws in coming here, is treated as an act of God, beyond our control. We just shrug our shoulders, pay more taxes to support food stamps, bilingual education, crowded classrooms, and other costs, as if we could do nothing to stop it.

Without a serious fence system for the Border Patrol to actually watch and guard, the BP is forced to “defend in depth.” The southern border is 2,019 miles from sea to sea. If the Border Patrol check points are 40 miles from the border, agents must roam across an area of 80,000 square miles seeking illegal immigrants. This is a fool’s errand, deliberately futile. 80,000 square miles is the size of Idaho or Kansas.

The same number of border patrol agents actually guarding a physical barrier means that every inch of the border is under observation at all times. For example, anybody carrying a ladder to the fence will be seen, and stopped by nearby Border Patrol agents who react to their approach. That is why the San Diego fence is so effective. It needs to be extended across the entire border. Or, we can keep play-acting at border security, with the Border Patrol playing Keystone Kops across 80,000 square miles of rough scrub land terrain.

70 years ago, before American Petroleum Engineers discovered oil there, the National Treasury of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was literally kept under the King’s bed.

Have we arrived at the point where we are less competent and less high-tech then a group of nomadic Bedouins...?

If you go to Saudi Arabia ( and many parts of the Middle East like UAE, Kuwait or Dubai ), you will see that MOST of the ones who built their infrastructure are FOREIGNERS.

Filipinos for instance, make up a significant portion of their workers, engineers, technicians, etc.

In fact, one of the biggest source of money for the Philippines is FOREIGN REMITTANCES, mostly from the Middle East.

Oh. I know. The Saudis do not work. They are in the 19tg century on many things. And they import all workers including defense

But to be able to build a fence, planning it, hiring workers, even thinking of it. A border fence. What a marvel.

It will be like a wonder of the world!

How else do you explain blacks not asking Arabs ( who were mostly the SOURCE of slave trades for over a thousand years ) for reparations?
