Maybe he wants to sell the team and an overinflated price ($2 billion) before the market crashes.

When the economy collapses, who will have the money to buy season tickets the an NBA game (or MLB, NFL, etc.)

With the "Great Recession going into it's 6th year, I'm surprised that professional sports hasn't already suffered.
