The boy’s family called police Tuesday evening reporting that their son was taken and that his suspected kidnappers were attempting to extort money from them.

“For whatever reason the suspects believed that the family, that the father, had a good deal of money,” Tucson police spokesman Sergeant Pete Dugan said.

Detectives worked overnight to track the boy down to a house in the city’s south side. They were conducting surveillance when...

Once again, we learn of this from the foreign press, doing the news American news outlets WON’T do....

We’re getting Mexican-style crime patterns in America. And the tempo is increasing.

We’d better stop and think: Our homes in American Suburbia have neat little lawns and LARGE *GLASS* WINDOWS overlooking these neat little lawns. Our neighborhoods were designed with a low-crime society in mind. Just imagine how VULNERABLE they are.

Now think about the way residences in foreign countries, say...Iraq...are designed. High-walled courtyards. Iron gates. No windows exposed to the gutter, er, street. Mini-fortresses.

This country is gonna fall apart once the dollar becomes worthless. We’ll learn why it’s good to have a walled courtyard and windowless home.

Oh, this started long before BamBam. He just accelerated it.

I almost expect to experience something like this.
My ex-sister in law loves to make claims that my family is “loaded”.
I expect her thug friends to come calling at some point.

Makes me wonder if this guy had anything similar going on?
Disgruntled ex in law, conniving acquaintance that lives on stirring up stuff?
Article says they knew the kid, but he had no idea who they were.
I’m leaning to conniving acquaintance.

Yes I realize that.

He has intentionally made it much, much worse.

Yes, only usually the kidnapped person ends up dead regardless of whether the criminals receive their payment or not.
This kid is lucky.

Those other countries don’t have the 2nd, or a growing itch to fill ditches with illegal alien waste...

I saw another headline this story.

It said the perps were illegal and had been previously deported from the USA.

my first instinct is someone at the kids school the kid didn’t know but who put the target on him - a kid likely related to one or both of the 19yo’s. But I’m just guessing.

Possible as well as likely, looking at the people involved.

“There police found the boy blindfolded, badly beaten and with his hands tied.”

Just doing the job Americans are unwilling to do. </sarc>
