I agree with the sentencing issue, more than you know. Especially today—many kids are charged with sexual crimes while teens and spend their lives branded and unable to build a life.

But, not knowing the circumstances in this case, the perp was most likely caught due to participating in sexual tourism. There is an entire industry built around providing women and children for tourists to abuse them. Prosecution of sex tourism is pretty rare, so this guy may have been caught up in a sting, or turned in by someone who knew of his activities.

Yes. That is the big problem with this article. It is not very explicit what his crime was. I’m certain he was unaware of what his crime was. He probably believed he found a loophole for his immoral activity.
