Sen. Al Franken finds favor and distrust at north Minneapolis block party

It begins well enough. A trail of admirers follow Franken as he tours Bryant Avenue, listening to the activists he meets. Behind an ice cream truck, he shakes hands with a disabled vet and, after a lengthy chat, asks an aide to take down the old soldier's contact information.

"North Minneapolis is very important," Franken tells us. "We unfortunately have, as a metropolitan area, some of the greatest disparities in terms of everything -- education, employment, and health care. All of this stuff is connected."

He expounds on the same point on stage, noting the need to fund early childhood education and the passage of the Affordable Care Act, both of which get applause. He moves then to drug policy, highlighting an ACLU study showing that blacks are way more likely to get arrested for pot possession than whites, though the two groups smoke at roughly the same rate.

"This policy and the way it's been administered is wrong and it's destructive," he says. "And we have to change that." More hand-clapping follows.

But as Franken prepares to go, the voice of Mysnikol Miller, a spa manager, rises above the speaker: "What can I do about that?"

"You can vote," the senator says.

Two voices -- one male, one female -- come flying at once: "For what?!"

"For me," Franken adds. "I'm going to help you by using my power as a United States senator to fight for the things I'm talking about. That is how I'm going to do it. And it isn't like a magic switch that I can pull." He goes on to assure the voices that he thinks about the repercussions of federal policy every day.

"But you don't live it every day," Miller says.

"Yes, I do," Franken insists.

Oh brother. More pandering to the poor, poor diversities. It’s so bad here, they can’t wait to come over legally or otherwise from Somalia, etc, at taxpayer expense (lefty churches using taxpayer funds from the government to get them here, then dumping them on the welfare rolls for the taxpayers to support ever after).

Franken is proof that a ham sandwich with a “d” can be elected.

Franken is part of the Democrat Party that survives by creating and maintaining poverty through their government handouts. The Dems created the “hood” through the Great Society, New Deal, welfare, etc. but the minorities apparently aren’t wise enough to see how they’ve been mistreated.

Franken: “We unfortunately have, as a metropolitan area, some of the greatest disparities in terms of everything — education, employment, and health care. All of this stuff is connected.”

Ah, yes. The politics of envy. He’s mastered them well.

HEY, AL---WADDA YA KNOW ABOUT THIS? Hennepin County attorney’s office is investigating whether a private mailbox center in Minneapolis’ Cedar-Riverside neighborhood has been improperly used as an address for more than 140 voters. State records show that 419 Cedar Avenue S. has been used by some of the voters as far back as 2008. [Ed.: In other words, since Al Franken's 2008 campaign.]

===============================================================================

MEMO TO FRANKEN VOTERS As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act :

OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have choice of doctor.”

Repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.

Every Democrat enthusiastically chimes in, echoing the same false promises----lock-stepping party loyalty not seen since 1940's-era Europe.

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn): "people who are happy with their current plan, wouldn't need to change it."

He’s funnier as a politician than he ever was as a comedian.

Franken is proof that a ham turd sandwich with a “d” can be elected.

Stupidity must abound in that city, they're support this clown.
He got that Senate seat, by outright voter-box fraud.
His opponent must woefully underfunded
or even more of a clown than Franken is. Are there multiple Candidates for the seat?

I recently made an extended trip through southern Minnesota and when driving through many small towns I saw only one Franken yard sign. Remember Franken was elected by only a razor thin vote and voter fraud made it possible. Now that Minnesotans have actually had him as their Senator, I don’t think he has gained much popular support. Also keep in mind that North Minneapolis has elected Keith Ellison as their member of Congress. Ellison is a Muslim and a leftist probably even more left than Obama.

North Minneapolis was a crime ridden area when I worked in the area way back in the early 1980’s. Nothing has changed. The homes are rundown. I lived in one built in 1918. Giant forced air heater in the basement like a octopus.

The politicians have been promising that area will be redeveloped for decades. This is what keeps the area poor as no investor will come in as long as there is uncertainty on who will demand a payoff and for how much.

But they have 200 ‘non-profits’ that operate in N. Minneapolis. You'd think it would be the people's paradise.

Further proof ‘non-profits’ are by and large a tax avoidance scheme to enrich democrats and their pals.
