President Obama sent seemingly conflicting signals Wednesday about his ultimate goal in the fight against the Islamic State, saying at a press conference in Europe that the aim is to "degrade and destroy" the terror group -- but moments later, claiming he wants to make it a "manageable problem."
The president spoke as lawmakers on Capitol Hill and others urge the White House and Pentagon to pursue a tough approach against the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL.
Those calls mounted after the group released another video showing the execution of an American journalist; the White House on Wednesday confirmed that video as authentic.
Speaking in Estonia during a visit to Europe, Obama at first took a hard line. He condemned the execution as "horrific" and "barbaric" and vowed "justice will be served."

Right, makes sense in context...hes already said theres no strategy. This is yet another confirmation. I doubt any is forthcoming either.

There is a very simple solution to ISIS.
Call up Assad and tell him he can make up a list of things he would like from us in the way of arms; planes, bombs, guns, tanks, whatever.
On one condition and that is that he kill every single ISIS as well as their sympathizers and supporters.
He is the only one with the guts and the skills to do it.
I am aware that he is not exactly a saint, but we should look on him as our junkyard dog. He may not be a pet, but he fits the job requirements.
I could not help but remember saying he’d repeal Obamacare on day one, and then later said he’d get rid of parts of it that don’t work.

The only strategy that Clown Prince nobama has is to crush Free America. The criminal should be arrested , imprisoned, waterboarded (to discover who he is) and exiled eventually when he can barely move. The Founders of this wonderful country are spinning in their graves.
Obama is a Muslim and is making the Caliphate possible. Or at least, trying.
His double talk statements are an effort to appease us and at the same time appease the Muslim Brotherhood and others.
In other words, he his telling us he is going to cut them down to size but sending them a signal that they need to cool it and stay on their side of the street.
Just like gang warfare in Mexico or Chicago.
“You got your territory, stay on that side of the street.”
Obama refuses to admit that ISIS is a global movement. It is not confined to the ME and North Africa. ISIS is already a coalition comprised of fighters from all over the world.

He did not say this. If he had, he would have called it ISIL, not ISIS.

Of course he believes it’s manageable. After all, his SoS called terror attacks a nuisance back in 2004. Their foreign policy may be based on the idea of ‘don’t do stupid sh*t,’ but they sure say and do plenty of it.
At least two different speech writers who aren’t sure exactly what Obama’s position is ... writing separate parts of the speech.
