I accept nothing other than the observation that you tolerate a monarch and you’ve got nothing but the courage of the keyboard. Those two points are the important ones. You’re as foolish sounding as the Haka looks. Noise, bluster, hand waving and foot stomping. I got my kids to stop behaving like that when they were three years-old. Revel in your Paleolithic posturing.

Noise, bluster, hand waving and footstomping.
We talking about the Haka or US patriotism?.

On a more serious note, the Haka is nothing foolish. Its a war chant/dance by a great warrior people, the Maoris, a wonderful race of people I am glad have been on our side for nearly 150 yrs. From the Boer War to Afghanistan (10 NZ dead there) .

They and it are worthy of nothing from you and I but respect. To think its foolish is to disrespect their culture and people.

You said Kiwis were subjects and unarmed. Both were very wrong. That’s fine, I don’t expect Americans to know much about NZ. Or the Maoris. Or anything outside their borders.
Even if the biggest film franchise of the 2000’s was shot there.

My oldest friend lives in Nelson. I know all I need about the dissolute drinking habits of both the Maoris and the anglos in NZ. Had your flagon of beer yet today? Bluster on but you bore me.

The University of Hawaii does a similar gig before their football, err, gridiron games and regularly get their fannies handed to them on the field. I’d do my strutting after the game if I was them. And weren’t there some white guys on the team doing the Haka. Is that part of their heritage too?

If you have Kiwi friends, why so clueless on NZ?.
Ignorance bores me.

That’s odd, considering your comments, I’d have thought you’d be used to it by now.
