Yep. Liberals wanted to be free to do or say whatever they wanted and wanted everyone to do the same. Now you can do or say whatever you want but you also can get shot doing it. Three cheers for liberal freedoms!

My biggest gripe on planes is crying/screaming babies and toddlers.

The airlines redesigned first and business class to function better in the allotted space. Why not economy?

If airlines can force fat people to buy two seats (or fly business/first)...I think the courts have ruled that they can...then why can’t they force particularly tall people to pick particular seats in coach (a bulkhead, for example) or fly business/first?

I avoid carriers like United that cram the seats together to make more $$$.

Customers who fly them either are ignorant of it or they will tolerate anything to save a buck, like waiting on a long line at Walmarts.

Well, like anything else, a little bit of common courtesy would have avoided the whole thing. My coworker was trapped in the last row of a plane where the seats do not recline because they are against the bulkhead. Then the a-hole in front of him decided to push his seat all the way back. He had zero room. That was not very courteous of the person in front. My coworker had to bang against the back of seat just to move and there was almost an altercation because the idiot up front thought he was doing it on purpose.

Add to that, the toilet overflowed and soaked his shoes. I would not have been very happy at all. One of the many reasons I have air travel now.

Even the most basic tasks of getting along with other people are becoming beyond the abilities of an every larger portion of the population.

Sense common sense is not so common any more, perhaps there can be an “standard” that when there is less than X inches between the back of one seat and the front of another, the seat will not be allowed to recline, and the airline must disclose this either at ticket purchase or at the time of the assignment of the seat.

Manage customer expectations and all.

Meh...I fly a lot. Mostly < 4 hour legs;but once every month or so 8 - 12 hr flights.
Always business class. Always.
I'm usually working, laptop/notebook sometimes writing pad, and need the space.
But I have done my share of 'cattle car' flights...and now refuse to do so.
(I even stipulate it my contracts - "all required flights are to be business class only")
