#31 The Cyrkle: Turn-Down DayTheir first hit, Red Rubber Ball, was a song that Paul Simon had essentially given away. These guys were from the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, and John Lennon had given them the unique spelling of their name. In the years to come, two of the musicians would write the Plop Plop Fizz Fizz jingle for Alka-Seltzer, and one would write the Swanson Foods commercial, the Continental Airlines commercial and the 7-Up Uncola commercial. There is life after pop music.
