JACKSON, Miss. Special Judge Hollis McGehee has dismissed an election challenge filed by Chris McDaniel according to WDAM-TV.
The decision ends a battle between the two since McDaniels June special election loss.
Cochrans attorneys asserted McDaniel should have filed his challenge within 20 days but waited until August 4.
McDaniel alleged voter fraud in the election.
Now that sounds like something only MS voters could get excited about.
That’s for land commissioner. It’s not like there was a lot of competition. Whether he parleys that into something of a major seat later is another issue.
Let Cochran lose the seat!
Many of us are fuming - I'm going to write in Chris McDaniel/
It will make it a lot easier for us to try to turn the tables on those who betrayed us with Cochran as the senile dupe of a candidate.
Well, I would not write-in Mickey Mouse. I’d write in Chris McDaniel even though MS does not count write-in votes. Let’s see if Thad can win the General Election without about 100,000 Republican votes. And everyone would know, he lost because the McDaniel people said “Eff you.” Or, better yet, vote for the Conservative Democrat, Travis Childers. He is Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment and anti-same sex marriage. Thad Cochran and the Barbour clan MUST BE DEFEATED!!!

The news came out yesterday afternoon that yet another blow had been dealt to Chris McDaniels ongoing challenge to his runoff election against Thad Cochran. The ruling seemed to bear very little if any relevance to questions about voting improprieties at the ballot box, and everything to do with some paperwork.
” A Mississippi judge has tossed out state Sen. Chris McDaniels challenge to that states June 24 GOP primary runoff results, ending another chapter in one of the most bitterly contested U.S. Senate primaries in recent memory and bringing longtime Sen. Thad Cochran one step closer to another term in Washington.
Special Judge Hollis McGehee ruled that McDaniel waited too long to file his challenge with state Republican Party. McDaniel filed the challenge 41 days after the election; McGehee said that under state law the challenge had to be filed within 20 days.”
Some people are inevitably going to blame the judge fair enough given the reputation of the political situation at times. But even some of the harshest critics of the decision had originally applauded the choice of McGehee.
“Was he bought off? True conservatives and supporters of Chris McDaniel had high hopes when the state supreme court named Judge Hollis McGehee to oversee the court challenge. And judging from his remarks during the cases first hearing, he seemed to be an honest judge interested in doing what was right. Being a minister and man of God, how could we have expected any less from him? He indicated his intention to decide the case based on the will of the voters and that even if Cochran were elected in November he had the power to unseat him if he were not the legitimate nominee.”
Truth be told, youd be handing even the most even handed judge a tough job in finding in McDaniels favor if the opposition opened up with a claim that state law demanded a challenge be filed within 20 days and youd not done it until more than twice that time had passed......(Snip)
If this is final, I call on all conservatives in the state to write in McDaniel during the election. Yes it will cause the Dem to win and yes it will not succeed in getting McDaniel into office.
I WILL show the GOPe why they lost and by what margin.

I just felt that your comments bore being repeated. I agree 100%. Do you live in Mississippi? Someone needs to start a REPUBLICANS FOR CHIDERS movement.
And if it means Dingy Harry stays in power?
I understand your frustration. But, don’t despair. Remember VA (7th District)? An underfunded Conservative, Dave Brat, defeated one of the most powerful men in Washington, Eric Cantor. Read the latest bad news for Mitch McConnell’s campaign today. (Campaign Mgr. resigns because of scandal in 2012 Pres. Campaign.). Mitch may lose and if MS Conservatives have the ba**s to write-in McDaniel (even tho the votes won’t be counted) or vote for the Conservative Democrat, we might see Cochran defeated. An Independent has jumped in the Senate race in SC and is giving Lindsey Graham fits. Mary Landrieu is facing a new scandal this week over non-residency in LA. Let’s keep working and see what happens Nov. 4.
McDaniel write-in votes wont be tabulated no matter how many there are...

Everybody knows that Ted. But, if Thad loses because thousands of Republicans write-in McDaniel, the nation will know that true Conservatives and the Tea Party will fight until the end so don’t f*** with us.
And if it means Dingy Harry stays in power?

HELL YES! Let me ask you this: If you had a next door neighbor who claimed to be friends of your family, but he was molesting your children, who would you want put-away; him or the guy across the street who is a Democrat?
And the difference between the Republican scum and the democrat scum Reid is????
McConnell has already stated shutdown is not happening every and Boner says no to impeachment effectively taking off the table anything the Republicans can do if they should stumble into taking the senate. All they want is to control the $$$ for a while, they are not going to do a damned thing to stop obama. Oh they will trash talk like drunken high school kid to another but will meekly surrender without a shot being fired.
While I agree that there will not be an OFFICIAL tabulation, trust me, they will be counted.
Wow, one of the Democrats’ own schemes fails in the courts?!?
