In 1890 the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), the gallant men who freed the slaves, told the reparations crowd to get lost because the debt had been paid in full. For four years the Union Army lost an average of 77 men a day, every day for a total of 112,400 men and these are ONLY combat deaths.
